One time while my theatre was rehearsing Chop to the Top from SpongeBob, the SM forgot the scaffold for SpongeBob and Sandy to climb on, but they ended up improving the lack of scaffold perfectly, to the point I wondered of the scaffold had even previously existed. It was an amazement watching that from the booth (keep in mind, SpongeBob was 11 with 0 previous theatre experience, but he nailed it perfectly)

In my school play in 8th grade, my sword broke a few days before the show (it was called monkey bards btw, it was a collection of Shakespeare stuff and I was Lysander) and I had to improv on why I had a sword handle instead of sword when fighting-

just take voice lessons like 6 months to a year before auditions, then (depending on your school) you should be able to make the cast!

There is no such thing as “can’t sing”... singing it talking on pitch and rhythm essentially. You can add on technique progressively, but with a good teacher you’ll find your voice, I guarantee it!

While the Shrek guy was posting this as one of his “worst” or “most embarrassing” theater moment, I think actually highlights his skills as a performer. He stayed in character, knew what to say, kept the audience laughing, didn’t seem nervous, and probably half the audience didn’t know it wasn’t supposed to happen. Talent isn’t nothing going wrong. Talent is knowing what to do when things go wrong.

lol I have Six, Lion King, and Lion King (twice) shows are expensive and I'm in America 😭 funny story: I went to a catholic private middle school and with my drama club we were going to see Peter Pan Gone Wrong but then the cast got COVID-19, so instead we went to see Six. Yes, Six. They thought show about Henry the 8th's six wives would be an educational show to go to. They thought they could go to "Six" with a ton of 6th-8th graders... The pastor thought it was educational 😭

For last year’s production, we did Footloose, and we had three minutes to change into 80s prom clothes. Half of us girls had a corset and couldn’t do it on our own, not to mention there were only like, ten girls out of 45-50 who could do it. Some of us barely had time to get our shoes on lol. (Side note: my crush did spotlights for that show)

Okay but in my eight grade year they also put on High School Musical (I got Gabriella's understudy but they had it set up so I would do a few shows, and the main Gabriella would do other.) Our main Troy just didn't show up and our Taylor didn't memorize her lines so that was a fun production.

I'm not confident enough and have way to much anxiety with public speaking to join Theater, instead I watch theater TikToks and am one of the very quiet altos in choir lmao (I only got loud once and when that I happened I started early and because of that I fear singing enough to be heard until the middle of the song comes in and even then I'm quiet pff)
