I love this version because Su just gets to focus completely on the vocals and not worry about doing choreo and show off her full vocal skills. She has been training as a vocalist since she was six or seven years old, and she has been performing professionally since she was 10, so although she is only 26 years old, she's a veteran.
Yes it shows in this performance, how much focus Su-Metal has and the consistency and Power in her voice! She's already amazing live and took it to another level here! 😊🤟🦊
Just like "Nor Rain, no Rainbow" and the unfinished version of "Akatsuki", I just cannot listen to this song without crying. It's impossible. Su's voice is a godsend!

3 versions of Monochrome are so good that to me are 3 totally different songs, and i love each version. The lyric video makes me sad but gives me hope. The live version humming part gets me emotional, and the piano version just calms my soul. One of my favourite BABYMETAL songs is "From Dusk Till Dawn" at Budokan 2021. It is a unique song, even for BABYMETAL. Su sings it in English, but there are no official lyrics, and fans are still unsure of the exact words. 🤘🦊🤘

They are still young, but made history already, and this history is freaking huge! You could try their "breakthrough in the West". It´s known by fans as the "Miracle of Knebsworth/Sonisphere". That special 30+ minutes live show in front of 50000+ people went in 2014 at the Sonisphere Festival in Knebsworth, UK. They were scheduled for a small side stage, but were moved to the main stage after "Gimme Chocolate!!" went viral on YT. That´s the ancient era of BABYMETAL. Watch "BABYMETAL - Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014,UK (OFFICIAL)" (there is a non-official one, too, just in case the official one causes you blocking issues) and you will be VERY surprised by the ending (the audience reaction to them as they leave the stage). Take into account that, at that time, very few Westerners (and even fewer Metalheads) know about BABYMETAL and what they´re doing 😉 And the song is really great, too! 🙂

Minor =sad is very basic, maybe don't use that analogy anymore. You can give the wrong impression saying something is a sad song. You sound very elementary, basic, like you are just learning about music theory. Just say minor feeling, not sad. All songs have major and minor combinations, pointing each one out will just confuse people. I assume you know music theory. This takes me away from your reaction if all you do (for your reaction) is point out minor chords ( "now the song is sad", etc.) in the song. What does it make you feel rather than describing the progressions. I think that is what viewers want to see, your reaction. Anyone can analyze.
except that this song specifically uses shifts between minor and major scales to move your emotions from sad/longing to hopeful. also, most viewers probably aren't well versed in music theory, so keeping explanations simple (or "basic") is often desired. it's also pretty weird to just "assume" the width or depth of someone's knowledge base. this is certainly 1000% better than those channels that never make any attempt to properly engage with what's going on (and yet people watch them anyway) -- and by judging from all those lazy channels, apparently NOT just "anyone" can analyze. /2¢
