A lyricist involved in the song's creation admitted that Irys' line in the song("Making a vow to the smiling stars") was meant as a reference to Sana...also, the background color for Promise was a pretty obvious tell.... :D
Nerissa has been cooking these past few months. Her EP is fantastic (she released an mv for Sweetest Scarlet the other day in case you missed it). And her 3D stream was a lot of fun, with at least 4 guest appearances (depending on how you count it). I do like how she always gets the back up vocal lines in the chorus, because she always does such a great job with it and it gives her a chance to show off just a bit.
Hololive always hires a very diverse group of girls each generation when it comes to the sort of skills they have, most have some sort of background in streaming, but the exceptions tend to be those who are amazing singers. Nerissa definitely got in on her voice. Whoever does the scouting and hiring at hololive deserves a raise.
i think at the point of this song is mostly about the Legacy. from myth to advent. its really shows more when you look at the lyrics since each part as a lyric that makes a nod to their Original group songs mostly near the end of each groups part before they hand it off to the next group. Myth has reunite and I think journey of a thousand years (there first original group song.) Promise is special since it is technically 2 groups plus Iryis. so they made a nod to their time as council with Sana with a Lyrics nodding to their song Rise and then of course their current time as promise with our prmoise. and well advent pretty much wraps the end with a nod their debut song Rebellion.
Mumei’s voice was always good from the beginning. She just noticeably never tried her hardest when singing. the entirety of Promise had a good base level of singing talent when they first started, with Kronii being the (technically) the worst. also unfortunately Ame seems to be tone deaf, so she has to put in by far the most effort if she wants to improve. personally I think this song is the best original group song released under the Holo English channel, really easy song to listen to.
Wait, you think KRONII was the worst when they started??? She's consistently sounded amazing, the heck do you mean??? I think if anything, Fauna started off a little shaky and less confident sounding, and they tended to cover it a lot with harmonies and audio editing (it really stands out the most in EN's old Twelve Days of Christmas cover)
@@TriStain69 Fauna was next on my list. I’m glad that you brought up shakiness, because Kronii’s shakiness was specifically why I put her under Fauna. even now, there’s something about the way Kronii sings where it makes me hesitate to call her a pure singer. she seems to be going for something artistic that I’m not quite sure I get.
@@TriStain69 Fauna is awesome, but it was pretty obvious that despite having experience with some ASMR voice work, she did not have much experience singing. Kronii had a variety of voice work experience, including some singing before Hololive.
@@timmlyy I'm not sure I ever noticed Kronii's singing sounding shaky, I've always felt like she was one of the more experienced ones from what I've heard of her singing. Is there a certain song or karaoke stream you have in mind where she sounds shaky?
Myth is 4 years old and it's crazy how they feel nostalgic now. In a good way. Promise has carved their own path and now Advent is coming in hot with 3D. It's all estalished but only just getting started.
Being new to Digital musicians(May be incorrect term cause I'm new but I believe hololive is a brand so didnt want to exclude) I thought the 3d was VR so I put my oculus on expecting to see them performing infront of me with gura rapping in my face. To be honest my journey started via spotify with amalee who then became a vtuber (Monarch) then spotify recommended demondice and silvervale then I started to get hololive I think mori was the first. I just wish that hololive en was more english.
5:45 I think that makes a lot of sense, because English has at least 11 vowel sounds, and many complicated consonants combinations. Meanwhile, Japanese has only 5 clear vowel sounds, and almost all syllables are consonant - vowel. So, with clearer and longer vowel sounds, Ina could sing with more technique in Japanese 🤔😯
A tour, a tour that will never come to Saskatchewan. I'm very much bitter about the fact we get holonothing while Quebec will get holoeverything, just like with everything else. Sorry about the inter-provincial political drama, I just really hate Quebec and the preferential treatment they get.
