OK, I’m 3 months late on this, sorry. I think this production shows every ounce of the quality of people working with BTS. It is so beautiful! This and Jamais Vu currently have me trapped. Enjoyed your reaction. Thanks!
Jin learned the chords to this song because he didn't want to fake playing on stage. Now, especially in the last year, he has been "diligently" learning how to play the piano. It was his new year's resolution, I believe. 😍😊💜
Each BTS member is so talented and so unique. They are very different from each other yet they create an amazing synergy. Each member can perform on his own and still carry that trademark of quality....Thank you very much for featuring Epiphany. This is a wonderful song about loving one's self. Jin's vocal is heavenly. He has another solo song, Awake.
Jin's has the most vocal range in BTS! He's insane!!! 💜 He's an amazing singer! His vocals is also stable and clear when he sings and dance ✨ You should check out his composed and co-produced song ABYSS!
When I heard Epiphany for the 1st time (was at the bus that time), I almost cried without even understanding the lyrics. This was the song that got me real hard to stan BTS.
I've always said BTS are ultimate performers, they don't just sing. Their whole concert is very much like a musical production, which is wonderful. Their shows grab your attention the entire time because every song has a different stage and they have lots of costume changes. The instrumentations, the lightings, the colours of the ARMY bombs which are synced to the songs adds a whole new level to their performances. If you get a chance, do attend one of their concerts.
Thank you. Interesting to note that Jin was recruited to BTS with no singing or dance experience. He was attending acting school and was stopped walking down the street :)
Actually not just him the some other members like jimin v did not have background in singing and jhope didn't have a background in rapping Jk had to travel to America to learn dancing
beside giving each member the chance to express themselves in their own way, BTS does EXTREME choreographies during concerts, sometimes 2,3,4 in a row. it would be impossible to endure that with high quality for 3 hours straight without a break. the solo stages are also a way to give the other members a break in between the concert to literally catch breath before doing insane choreos as a group again. together with the comfort songs in between it really is an amazing solution to keep their level of perfectionism for 3 hours straight. also.... how to make up to 90.000 people at once sing "i'm the one i should love" 😭💜
A lot of them knows how to play instruments. Jin, plays the guitar and piano (he literally had to learn how to play the piano for this specific song. He had the option of faking it but he didn’t want to fake it for the fans so he learned it in a span of a few weeks.) Yoongi (Suga) plays the guitar and piano as well. Jimin plays the piano, Jungkook plays a bit of piano and guitar too, and Taehyung/V plays the piano, a bit of saxophone (he studied it when he was younger), and a bit of violin (i think he’s still learning, tbh, but there are snippets of him playing the violin, though playfully)
INSTRUMENTS Suga:- Piano [really good at it] and guitar [he is really attached to piano and even has a song named first love in which he references his piano as his first love] Jin:- guitar and piano Jimin:- Piano V:- Piano, violin and saxophone Jungkook:- Drums and guitar
Fun fact about Jin solo songs, after performances its heavy applause till the next song begins. Just straight applause for like a whole minute….i miss it 😭😭😭😭😭💜💜💜
You should react to the lyrics too cuz that's beautiful. It's about self-love . This song is masterpiece indeed. BTS is always amazing. Jin can play piano and guitar.
Hey man...i know ur a musician and do pay more attention to the musicality and production (and im happy coz im learning a lot). But i hope u could turn on the captions for appreciation of the lyrics. This one in particular has very great writing. Its loving yourself above else before you can resonate love to others and the world. #my2cents
This song is a wonderful song about self-love. It bears a specific message for people who are suffering from depression and other related issues. Some part of the lyrics "I'm the one I should love in this world Shining me, precious soul of mine I finally realized so I love me Not so perfect but so beautiful I'm the one I should love."
I like your reactions but I don’t think I have heard you use their names. Each of them brings something different to the group. The more you know about the individual talents and struggles of each the more you respect them. These men are more than a boy band. I’ve been Army since January 2014, I’m a grandmother and have learned that 7 young men from Korea have a lot to teach us. Dig deeper.
Remember - this is the guy who, 10 years ago, had no interest in or intention to make a career in music. When he was training vocally, the other members heard him practicing and apologizing for making noise - in his sleep! 😭
Backstreet Boys used to - and still - do this, where between the group songs they also have individual performances. I know, I'm showing my age with this comment. Absolutely loving BTS and especially Epiphany is really close to my heart. Jin delivers a heartfelt, soulful performance every single time.
BTS started off as nothing. On their concerts their were only about 1000-2000 people and now finally after all these sacrifices and all these years their concerts are having more than 60000 people with lightsticks cheering for them. I'm so proud of them that they've come this far after so many struggles.💜💜💜💜💜💜
FYI: They started doing solo songs as part of albums and concerts in 2016. It's a genius move because it allows each member to express himself individually as part of BTS and it gives the others a much-needed break during their 2.5-to-3-hour concerts. Why aren't other groups doing it? Well, to be frank: how many groups do you know where every single member can command a stadium of 60.000 on their own with equal excellence and stage presence...? Also, they don't have any jealousy towards each other, so their strong bond allows them to do this as well. ARMYs love their solo stages and are very proud of every single one of them!
@@JacobRestituto It's a MAJOR part of what makes them special and so loved. You don't have to check out the lyrics for every song, but do yourself a favor and do a few songs (that army recommend) and see how it feels. There's even a lot of explained video (technically fan theories) that can enhance the meaning - some songs have a lot of cultural references, or references to their other songs or references to the BU (Bangtan Universe that's a parallel story line throughout their mv's) Edit: I'm mentioning this because I've seen a lot of reactors finallly doing the explained videos and going "oh, now I get why they are so popular". Like, they knew they were talented, but now they understood why you find army and EVERY part of the world (even Antartica light up on twitter, when they accomplish bigger things)
Let's play your guitar Playlist to relax on the drive to work. No visuals. What was that? What language was that? The dopamine levels are of the chart. Intense. Oh man.
Please look at their concert at Wembly in England for two days and you will be amazed with the ARMY/ people that went to see their concert. More power to you, be safe😊
Reactions to the lyrics would be fantastic, but be careful, because a few of the biggest channels who translate them, are wrong. But BTS excels in their lyrics. But a lot of the translated lyrics still do not quite make it clear what the message is because of the cultural references. So a lot of songs have very deep explanation videos that are really needed if you want to truly get the message they are putting out. The real genius of BTS is their messages and how they are written.
"What a story that they told" Oh Jacob, you don't even imagine😂 kpop groups (BTS included) often have complex storylines for their videos and albums for a certain "era" , where each singer has a role and plays a character, in a sense. I'm telling you, BTS had such a complex storyline that could compete with the Marvel Cinematic Universe😂 There are webtoons, theory videos, explanations... It's truly crazy. It's very engaging for the fans, though🤣 a RU-vid channel called xCeleste explains it very well, there are some summary videos. You can check them out even for a few minutes just to get an idea of what I mean haha! And keep up the great job Jacob!
beautiful song... means a lot to many armys. i saw him sing this live in two concerts. i cried for both times. it was a LOT. his voice, the atmosphere, knowing what the song meant, the freakin live band! everything was just so beautiful and incredibly memorable. 💜 thank you for checking it out and i'm here for you noticing both the vocals and the instrumentation.
They do. They encourage all the members to make and produce their individual songs. Their company go to the extent of producing sub-albums for each members. They are that supportive and they have the musical freedom to do any song they want unlike other bands who are limited to a certain genre.
This song is actually part of the BTS Universe story line I believe along with several others. Welcome down the Rabbit Hole known as BTS. This is part game, storybook and move (music videos) set with 2 other K-Pop groups. There is so many hidden meanings and messages in there videos, it like a Brain 🧠 Tease. Remember they are from the world of Anime 😉
He's really good, right? You should react to the song that they'd sing after Epiphany in that series of concert. Truth Untold it is. You should definitely react to it. It is the their producer's favorite of all their songs. It's sung by the vocal line only. I just checked, you have already reacted to the Truth Untold (Aoki). Please react to the live version. It would be great if you could react to the lyrics version then the live performance of BTS songs. we will appreciate seeing and hearing your genuine reaction as you could compare the live performance to their recorded version more accurately. Thanks in advance.
BTS loves stories on and off stage! In fact they have a storyline that connects a lot of their songs all the way from 2015 to this day. Also their albums have come out in trilogies as they grew up: School life, Youth and latest about finding your true/inner self. Epiphany is "the answer" to the last category as well as part of the ongoing storyline.
Hi Jacob, I hope you don’t take this otherwise but I wish you focused on their vocals a little bit more. You’re clearly a singer and a musician but the way you keep clear of saying much about their singing, feels like there is a reason for it. Maybe you have addressed in a video before and I just haven gotten to it or you don’t recognise them yet individually and can’t distinguish their voices? There are a couple of introduction videos to help with that. Army loves when their artists are appreciated as individuals and for their performances and their feats. I understand that you want to hear the production of a song but in a reaction a live performance, I wish you’d focus a tiny bit more on the individual(s) or group and their overall performance (dance only if you like, not necessary, because you’re a musician) That being said I do love your reactions a lot and they are very informative about the music production process. Thank you for reacting to BTS. 💜💜 Borahae! 😊
“BTS is THE Genre” is a solid knowledge in the ARMY fandom. BTS may have come from kpop and have some similarities , but they haven’t been KPOP since day one. The differences between Bangtan and every other group is cavernous. It’s mostly American media who keep the public misinformed. But that’s a big discussion for another day.
You should pay attention to the lyrics of their songs too..that way u will appreciate the song a bit more..since u already understand music already.. nice one. Keep going. 👍🏻
2:59 They are not known for playing musical instruments before becoming BTS. As far as I know, only SUGA played piano (since his childhood and he is really really good) and V played saxophone beforehand. But what's wonderful about these boys is that many of them started learning how to play instruments despite their crazy schedules (and of course they got to spend more time during the pandemic.) So here is what they learned to play after becoming BTS: Jin and V - piano; SUGA, Jin, and JK - guitar; JK - drums (which he surprised everyone playing drums at the 'Music on a Mission' performance.) Am I missing anything else, ARMY? :-)
Out of all of the instruments, I think Suga is the most proficient playing the piano. He has a song called “First Love” on their Wings album where he raps about the piano.
I was literally shook when you paused on one of Jin’s iconic belts!!😂😂😂 I was getting into the build up and wasn’t ready for the sudden pause😂😂 my jaw dropped I was so shook!!😂but your reactions (appreciating literally everything about the music) is my favorite reactions to watch on here!! Thank you so much!!!!
The next song playing with the other 3 members/vocal line coming on stage at the end of this video is THE TRUTH UNTOLD. I hope you can also check that out ☺️
In kpop groups often let some members have solo songs/albums or be part of units it's pretty cool and you really get to know the members and their styles apart from their groups
