4:10 right as you said unless the lyric vid got the parts wrong, yunho sings this part. then the ‘if you’re feeling the same way’ part is first san, and the second voice after him was indeed yunho.
Oh yeh, that's exactly what we meant! :D that in the earlier albums they had lots of tracks like this, and more recently, it was hard to see such a track until now!
About the Bside sound, I think it's because they mostly went on with the era concepts. Treasure about Dream world & journeys, Fever about A world & real life struggles, while World is the insight of the Z world with all the cyberpunk stuffs & revolutions. So it makes sense why we haven't heard soft songs for a long time already. Youth & Everything is the best closing b-sides from the last album of the World series, introducing us back to the melancholy vibe ig ...
Usually Seonghwa, yunho and San blends so well with each other because they can all the same stuff - low notes, falsetos, even belts. Like I used to get them mixed up but you will notice they have. distinct tones to. their voices. Empty box though everyone kinda sounds like each other 😂like its very harmonious and nice. I can miss slow sad songs but can they give me another "The letter"and "one day at a time" "Dazzling light" even
I love how you recognized that it isn't san singing. in the last chorus yunho does the 'I'll never miss you' and then in the ending part San does the first line, Yunho the second and then Jongho the rest. I find even with this kind of production their voices can be told apart. It's a bit more difficult but not impossible. They all very much have a unique tone. I can't wait for the rest of your reactions for this album (and maybe killing voice? :o)
They put out a special clip for Empty box that has removed some of the effects laid over the vocals - but it also shows you who is singing so there's no mistake "That sounds like San, no that definitely sounded like Yunho..." Ihope you check it out because the vocals pop and it's just so clean. You may appreciate it better than this version from the album.
I've got to say, lyricwise empty box would be a good continuation after Usher's Separated 🥹 Live your live, and I'll live mine. You'll do well, and I'll be fine > I've got to move on. I'll never miss you. Leave everything behind hope you come across something more than better
Ateez's slower softer songs generally tend to be a miss for me, but this song became my favorite song from the album. It's so beautiful and brings out so much emotion for me. I've been wanting them to do a sad song for a loooooong time. And as a Yunho bias, I love that we got to hear his vocal ability more in this song
