The Clé series. Some real gems in there from Miroh to Levanter. It's less experimental but it's part of stray kids' journey to God's Menu, Thunderous, and Maniac. One of the songs from Clé was Maze of Memories which you both liked.
BIBI animal farm, holy shit it's good, also maybe you could get into a kband too ? The rose just dropped its new album with their new comeback childhood, beauty and the beast is also amazing
Bang Chan and the others create story boards for each song. They contribute their ideas and vision to the staff who then put everything together. The Stray Kids often post videos of them reacting to the final version of the video, which they have not seen until then. Their reactions to those "reveal" videos are genuine and great to watch. Often they are surprised and super happy at how the videos come out.
In literally 2 mins. they are having a comeback, please make sure to enjoy it guys! Also, great video as always, it's fun hearing you guys talk about a song and showing an actual understanding of the song and how it was produced, also the lyrics, it's amazing for me, love it!
As I am speaking 20 minutes ago stray kids new come back case 143 literally just dropped and I just listen to it holy shit it’s definite you need to check out this song oh my God
So excited for Muddy Water! Have you done Ta yet? And I think you've done Circus, if not, you could do a comparison of the Japanese version (the first released version) and Korean version which is coming out on Maxident. I think they said the Korean version was actually the guide track....and Chan commented on how the meaning changes so much when the language changes. I definitely notice differences between the various language versions, despite the fact that I don't speak Korean or Japanese. The cadence changes, the places the words bite etc., all have to change a little, even though the rest of the music behind the vocals is the same.
I like how you mentioned the chorus not being explosive when I first listened to this song it was one of my least favorites on the album (now that I’ve listened to it a lot I love it more it’s one of my favorites) to me when I think of title tracks it’s always such a explosive chorus and super hype but originally the chorus felt super out of place to me and like the song was a little disjointed the birds really through me off during my first listen but as I listened more and I understood the message of the song and the concept of the album it made so much sense and stylistically was such a smart and creative choice because the whole point of the album was not necessarily fitting in with the norm being odd so to speak and that’s exactly what this song was doing was putting things that didn’t necessarily fit to make an amazing song and still somehow fit together really well especially for the concept stray kids and 3racha never cease to blow my mind even if at first glance I don’t get their choices
Better late than never. Stray Kids are so worth it. I'm still a baby Stay, but I LOVE their music and haven't found a track that I didn't - just some I love more. I agree that there is always a lot going with their work, so you really can't overanalyze them.
Btw! The base track was actually produced by eunwhi of TNX on the show “LOUD jypsy” he’s a 04 liner and he’s under pnations first boy group. The base of this track comes from eunwhi’s competition song on the show; the song is called “safety pin” and you’ll hear the similarities immediately
MANY THANKS TO YOU for this hint. I'm very interested in how SKZ songs are producing and by whom, as they and their co-prods are not too much into using a 'KSHMR' samples etc and mostly do more complicated and original work instead which I admire. Wish I could know more about all their produced top tracks. Chorus parts in Safety pin are remind me of some another SKZ song, can't figure out which. But choruses in MANIAC magnify me the most - this iridescent bassy heavy sound! I still want to know what's the sample pack name or whose idea it was to use such awesome tasty sample
I just saw ur response to my comment but I still wanted to say, I LOVE eunwhi so if you’re into self producing and writing idols, I def recommend you checking the show out! In the show LOUD, after the performance of safety pin, jyp (a judge) actually was so shocked at the professionalism of the song, that he said (I’m paraphrasing) “the whole time during your performance, I was thinking about if I should buy your song or not. It has the potential of a boy group title track”
My handsome guys😍❤️❤️ Let's go Stray Kids... You gotta check out "CASE 143" MV too pleaseeee 🙏... It's FIREEEEEEEEEE 🔥🔥🔥 Stray Kids are beyond TALENTED
Love the irony of saying SKZ have a new album coming out, on release day, followed by a conversation about waiting 6 months after albums are released to react to the songs, and ending up deciding to do Muddy Water next instead of the new album 😂
Omg yes this is a very apt breakdown 🙌 I've always loved the lyrics more and I've seen a few reactors say that they didn't like the climax but I was always like huh, what you mean it's not supposed to be a huge climax. I'm so glad you saw that 👏
I've watched some of your other reactions and I think you'll really like Stray Kids' debut song, District 9. It has a really good combination of rap and vocal, some of their best high notes.
ahhhhhh i was waiting for this one!!! maniac has SO much going on musically, i’ve been so excited for you guys to hear it and break it down a bit. also excited for muddy water!! as for what next… aside from maxident, maybe hellevator and district 9? to get a sense of how they’ve been doing it from the jump
I don't know much 😅But isn't Maniac's chorus what is known as "antidrop"? 🤔 I like the second part of the chorus with the vocals behind... I love the rap prechorus, it was what caught my attention the first time I heard it. Also, I'm still in love with the verses of this song. ❤
