Musicians react to hearing ASTERISM「Rising Moon 」MV　(AL “The Session Vol.2”収録)! 

Their originals, like this one, is the way to go next, not some covers. "Dawn" is highly recommended or anything from their Guernica+a masterpiece of an album. Like "Church", "Gunfire" or "Full throttle". Btw, "The sessions Vol. 2" is the name of the EP this song is from.

That tiny dynamo (Hal Ca, all 4' 9" of her) has a presence no one can deny. All three of them are amazing!!!

You know.. they had a US tour a couple of months ago! Check out the live footage from that tour uploaded of many here on YT! oh.. and they was 15- 16 years old when they recorded this song!

Thank you for doing this reaction guys. I'm the email guy lol. Great reaction. Hal ca wrote this song at 12 years old. After only playing for 2 years. It was recorded at 14 and the video shot when she was 15. All 3 of them were killing it at a young age. Remember this is early in the groups evolution. Later songs became more and more complicated as Hal ca's playing evolved. Try the song Dawn as an example. Funny you would say sponsored by Yamaha ( they may be not sure ) . Hal ca meet the two brothers at a music competition held by Yamaha . She was 12 and the others 13 and 15. It was Yamaha that after hearing each of them suggested they form a band.

The guitarist HAL-CA does the vocals now. She is not bad and bound to get better the more she sings. I no a lot of fans don't lke this developments and would like them to stay an instrumental band. But I think to attract more fans and remain financially viable and thus continue to survive vocals are needed. As long as they do a mix of instrumental and songs with vocals

This was the first song I heard from Asterism. I heard it the same day I first heard The Warning. It was a good day for power trios. And yeah, I believe HAL-CA is playing a Yamaha Pacifica here. It was her usual weapon of choice for a long time.

There is a second guitar in this since this is the studio version of the track. This is actually one of their less technical tracks (pre-vocals at least). They started out with more of a hard rock/heavy metal sound and became more proggy later on, but it's still a really cool track. I believe this was written when she was 13 or 14 years old. I personally recommend the live fancam version of Dawn for more show off of their skills or one of the studio sessions of their Guernica+a album.

They were brought together by the judges of the YAMAHA Music Contest because they live close to each other. There they all hit it off that they all like Ozzy Osbourne.

Sam and Chris, I don't know if you have reacted yet to Asterism's "Dawn" video. Again, It's an instrumental. The RU-vid video, I suggest the video from 2019.

You got the right version ;) . HAL-CA and the boys, MIYU and MIO cover a lot collectively, but she will publish guitar covers on her own sometimes. I think HAL-CA was about 15 when this was recorded. Look at the maturity of her performance ... but if you can catch one of the few clear frames, notice the complete lack of age on her face. These three have always done a great job of sharing the spotlight ... sort of makes sense as they are all spectacular musicians. It is really difficult as a fan not to stay fixated on HAL-CA until you get a breakdown where MIYU or MIO are able to shine ... like this song. I was looking forward to the reaction to the bass solo in this piece :) . HAL-CA has begun to provide vocals and you can hear some on their latest release "SHOOTING STAR" ... which also contains candid footage of their visit to the USA this summer.

It seems to me their anime covers are an attempt to get known better. Hal-Ca has been doing the singing and she has a good voice. They _just_ released a new video "Shooting Star" with scenes from their recent trip to the U.S. She's a young singer - really good pitch but needs to be careful with phrasing (example: "just fly with * me tonight"). I hope they don't chase money and forget this awesome progressive rock trio base they have. I don't mind lighter songs, but indulge us with this heavier rock sound too. * Edit: It occurs to me, after writing this, that Hal-Ca is not a native English speaker, so maybe it's unfair to criticize too harshly. But even in a foreign language, melody seems to be connected into coherent thoughts ... that's the nature of human communication. So, I dunno. She's young and hasn't been singing much. *_Anybody_* who's willing to sing and play at the same time deserves some respect just for daring to try.

Guitarist only 16yrs/o at this time, bassist and drummer 18, 19 yrs/o, ESP specially made that 7string bass only for him....next songs Dawn, Lights In The Darkness, Church, Blaze, Gunfire...all songs with bass solos..... Yamaha isnt as popular in the West. However in Japan nearly every stage and studio has many examples of guitars'piano's,amp's,drums,pa,etc....... HAL-CA plays a few fine examples of mid- upper end Pacifica's.
