My wife had a stroke last Saturday been in the CVICU since. Had 3 surgeries but she's recovering slowly but surely but even though I'm writing songs myself this song is so perfect. They were together for 38 years, shortly before the 38th wedding anniversary she was diagnosed with bone cancer. After seeing everything that she went through and how my father stuck by her taught me how to love a woman. He stuck by those vows until she drew her last breath. Are still some part of me waiting on my dad told me that this is is all a bad dream. I keep thinking I'll wake up in my old room and she'll be there with my plate of blueberry pancakes grits and sausage and serve me breakfast in bed before church get started. I'd make a deal with the Devil I'll keep this disability of cerebral palsy that I was born with just turn back time and give me those two people back.
