There's a reason parties *GENUINELY SCARE MUSLIM PARENTS!* Apart from school, work, hospitals, necessities, etc, we should *STRICTLY* guard against being unnecessarily friendly. ❗ *B E W A R E* ❗ *MINGLING* means *"WE BELONG TOGETHER."* In order not to be seen as a snob you'll end up giving in to their challenges & naggings. *ONE SECOND* in those environments & your degrees become nothing but *WALL DECORATIONS!* Your lifetime struggles in studying. Your parents taking 2 - 3 jobs to make ends meet. Sacrificing even *MEDICAL* needs for your sake. Borrowing here to pay there. Maybe facing eviction. Instead of them breathing a sigh of relief now that Alhamdulillaah you've grown & have what it takes to face the world, you step into an environment the results of which can send them to an early grave. Or make them unable to face the society, cos you've trashed their dignity... No matter how close you are to someone, *NO ONE* is worth you having a better life, relieved parents, respectable character, a good *MUSLIM* spouse, a blessed happy marriage, kids, good *HALAAL* income... And, of cause, your chance to *JANNAT.* Loving the Qur'aan enough to read it daily, especially Fajr & after 'Ishaa', keeps us on the straight & narrow. Maghrib to 'Ishaa' = tawassul, adhkaar, du'aa, tasbeeh, etc. Allah will replace the *party-urge* with greater love for Him, thus greater life satisfaction. You won't need to look for it outside.

The muslim ummah needs to realise that drug, alcohol and porn addiction is a real issue in today's youth and put an action plan in place to tackle that.
