I hate the word modest. It's just a patriarchal, conservative, unmodern term. Use a different word for covering your body. Being naked can also be modest, because it's the most natural way of all ways. But modest is never used in the context of being a human being, it's always there for differentiating in good and bad.

The bigger question is, is she cut? 95% of women are mutilated in Somalia. That is very sad!

Although I respect her decision, I don’t see where she violated her religious boundaries. She was wearing her hijab and working with fashion industry. I see models as cloth advertisers that want to make people buy the clothes they’re showing them. She could’ve made many women buy her Islamic styles which were beautiful. She’s probably not saying the actual reason why she left the fashion industry but her culture could have casted a lot of doubt on her career even tho she hasn’t violated her religious boundaries.
