No, Islam is living up the example of Muhammad and Jesus and all the prophets in worshipping god alone upon monotheism. Christianity is living up to the teachings of Paul and not Jesus. They were absolutely not opposed in their teachings as they brought the same message of monotheism and the same form of salvation that all the prophets brought before. Muslims do not link Christ to Muhammad; God does as all the prophets and messengers were from the same God. But Muhammad did single handedly convince billions of people to believe in Jesus. Christ was a great prophet and messenger but his life was proof enough that he was not meant to be the last example to mankind and he himself said he came for the lost sheep of Israel and did not bring a new law with him which the Bible says would come from mount Paran, where Jesus himself never went. He said he did not come to have a kingdom on earth, so left us without leadership skills and example. He did not get married or have children. so was not an example of a spouse or parent. He did not come with a new law but with the old law which Christians themselves, not Jesus, abolished which is not how you run societies, without rules and guidelines. Besides, the Bible prophecies Islam and Muhammad and never in those prophecies does it say he would be false. Romans 11:6 KJV - (“And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace”) Trusting on ANY human effort or works means that person is not under grace, but is attempting to qualify for salvation by the law/commandment keeping/human effort, and is therefore NOT saved). If you think your good works and repeating repentance will get you to heaven, Christ died for nothing and making a mockery of his sacrifice on the cross. Be very careful. Galatians 5:4 KJV - (Christ is become of NO EFFECT unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law (works); ye are fallen (separated) from grace (not saved). Please be aware, Calling/Confessing are Works, and salvation CANNOT be received with faith on any works for Eternal Salvation. I don't say that. That is what Christians believe who say he is God. If he is God, that means he revealed the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, he was not a very loving God. Paul called the Law in the Old Testament " a ministry of death" with many harsh and punitive punishments, more so than any other religion. Do you find that to be loving? They do not say they love the Lord Jesus. They love the Lord, God. They love Jesus as a prophet just as the Christians in the first three centuries did.

The passage could never affirm Christianity just like much of the verses in the Bible from Matthew, Mark, Luke, John because no one knows who they are to verify what they were saying as true. No one knows who they heard those things from. Biblical scholars say they never met Jesuse and they do not even believe those named people are who actually wrote the gospels. They were writings found anonymously that no one can authenticate.

The meaning of the word Naskh in Arabic is to remove or lift away. `Ali bin Abi Talhah reported that Ibn `Abbas said, "This means, Allah cancels out that which the Shaytan throws in.''وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ(And Allah is All-Knower,) means, He knows all matters and events that will happen, and nothing whatsoever is hidden from Him.حَكِيمٌ(All-Wise.) means, in His decree, creation and command, He has perfect wisdom and absolute proof, hence He says:لِّيَجْعَلَ مَا يُلْقِى الشَّيْطَـنُ فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ(That He (Allah) may make what is thrown in by Shaytan a trial for those in whose hearts is a disease) meaning, doubt, Shirk, disbelief and hypocrisy. Ibn Jurayj said:الَّذِينَ فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ مَّرَضٌ(those in whose hearts is a disease) "The hypocrites, andوَالْقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ(and whose hearts are hardened.) means the idolators.''وَإِنَّ الظَّـلِمِينَ لَفِى شِقَاقٍ بَعِيدٍ(And certainly, the wrongdoers are in an opposition far-off.) means, far away in misguidance, resistance and stubbornness, i.e., far from the truth and the correct way.وَلِيَعْلَمَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ الْعِلْمَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَيُؤْمِنُواْ بِهِ(And that those who have been given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord, so that they may believe therein,) means, `so that those who have been given beneficial knowledge with which they may differentiate between truth and falsehood, those who believe in Allah and His Messenger, may know that what We have revealed to you is the truth from your Lord, Who has revealed it by His knowledge and under His protection, and He will guard it from being mixed with anything else.' Indeed, it is the Wise Book which,لاَّ يَأْتِيهِ الْبَـطِلُ مِن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَلاَ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ تَنزِيلٌ مِّنْ حَكِيمٍ حَمِيدٍ(Falsehood cannot come to it from before it or behind it, (it is) sent down by the All-Wise, Worthy of all praise (Allah).) 41:42فَيُؤْمِنُواْ بِهِ(so that they may believe therein,) means, that they may believe that it is true and act upon it.فَتُخْبِتَ لَهُ قُلُوبُهُمْ(and their hearts may submit to it with humility.) means, that their hearts may humble themselves and accept it.وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهَادِ الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ إِلَى صِرَطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ(And verily, Allah is the Guide of those who believe, to the straight path.) means, in this world and in the Hereafter. In this world, He guides them to the truth and helps them to follow it and to resist and avoid falsehood; in the Hereafter, He will guide them to the straight path which leads to the degrees of Paradise, and He will save them from the painful torment and the dismal levels of Hell.
