Why the debate around the age of Aisha, the Prophet’s wife, is *irrelevant.* First Understand *4 things* : ♦️1) How to study history? ✅Ibn Khaldun mentions something quite important which we must keep in mind, especially when discussing this “issue”: " A hidden pitfall in historiography is disregard for the fact that conditions within the nations and races change with the change of periods and the passing of days … The condition of the world and of nations, their customs and sects, does not persist in the same form or in a constant manner. There are differences according to days and periods, and changes from one condition to another. This is the case with individuals, times, and cities, and, in the same manner, it happens in connection with regions and districts, periods and dynasties. […] Analogical reasoning and comparison are well known to human nature. They are not safe from error. Together with forgetfulness and negligence, they sway man from his purpose and divert him from his goal. Often, someone who has learned a good deal of past history remains unaware of the changes that conditions have undergone. Without a moment’s hesitation, he applies his knowledge (of the present) to the historical information and measures the historical information by the things he has observed with his own eyes, although the difference between the two is great. Consequently, he falls into an abyss of error." ( Diwan al-Mubtada’ wa al-Khabr p. 24-26 ) ♦️2) What is history? Early marriage is practiced all over the world, *regardless of caste or creed.* Historically there is no wonder in that. “It needs to be remembered that many Medieval widows were not old, Important heiresses were often married between the ages of 5 and 10 and might find themselves widowed while still in their teens.” (Margaret Wade Labarge ; A Medieval Miscellany , page 52) ♦️3) Why so in history? ✅Neil Postman explains, that the modern concept of "childhood" is a recent social construct that did not exist before the 20th century: "In an oral world there is not much of a concept of an adult and, therefore, even less of a child. And that is why, in all the sources, one finds that in the Middle Ages *childhood ended at age seven.* Why seven? Because that is the age at which children have command over speech. They can say and understand what adults can say and understand. They are able to know all the secrets of the tongue, which are the only secrets they need to know. And this helps us to explain why the *Catholic Church designated age seven as the age at which one was assumed to know the difference between right and wrong, the age of reason.* It also helps us to explain why, until the seventeenth century, the words used to denote young males could refer to men of thirty, forty, or fifty, for there was no word-in French, German, or English-for a young male between the ages of seven and sixteen. The word child expressed kinship, not an age. But most of all, the oralism of the Middle Ages helps us to explain why there were no primary schools. For where biology determines communication competence, there is no need for such schools…The medieval way of learning is the way of the oralist; it occurs essentially through apprenticeship and service-what we would call “on-the-job training.” Such schools as existed were characterized by a “lack of gradation in the curricula according to the difficulty of the subject matter, the simultaneity with which subjects were taught, the mixing of the ages, and the liberty of the pupils.” If a medieval child got to school, he would have begun as late as age ten, probably later. He would have lived on his own in lodgings in the town, far from his family. It would have been common for him to find in his class adults of all ages, and he would not have perceived himself as different from them. He certainly would not have found any correspondence between the ages of students and what they studied." ( Dr. Neil Postman, The Disappearance of Childhood (1982) ) ✅Here is an important citation which explains how one can’t compare childhood and maturity of today to the past as mentioned Professor Mary Lewis: "No matter what period we are examining, childhood is more than a biological age, but a series of social and cultural events and experiences that make up a child’s life...The time at which these transitions take place varies from one culture to another, and has a bearing on the level of interaction children have with their environment, their exposure to disease and trauma, and their contribution to the economic status of their family and society. The Western view of childhood, where children do not commit violence and are asexual, has been challenged by studies of children that show them learning to use weapons or being depicted in sexual poses...What is clear is that *we cannot simply transpose our view of childhood directly onto the past.”* ( Mary Lewis, The Bioarchaeology of Children: Perspectives from Biological and Forensic Anthropology p. 4 ) ♦️4) Those who say nonsense without knowing any of this are just idiots. Such people's arguments are just fallacies. There is no place for such nonsense in the academic world, social media idiots understand this. ✅Presentism-an anachronistic misinterpretation of history based on present-day circumstances that did not exist in the past. (David H. Fischer, Historians’ Fallacies: Toward a Logic of Historical Thought (New York: Harper & Row Publishers, 1970), pp. 135-140.)

♦️In the Bible, Isaac, 40, marries Rebecca, just 3 years old. (Genesis - 25:20) {Johann Buxtorf - Rabanical Literature : Volume - 1 - Page 33 , 34 } { The Zohar : Pritzeker Edition - Volume 2 - (2003) - Page 264 } ♦️When the Blessed Virgin Mary was twelve years old, her guardians began to inquire into marriage. She was married to Joseph, a carpenter in his late 90's. (Matthew 1: 18-25.) - Catholic Encyclopaedia. ♦️Saint Augustine - (354 AD), chosen to marry Is a 10-year-old girl. ♦️Skanda Purana says that Sita was only six - 6 - years old when 'Lord' Rama married Sita. ♦️Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was one of the most famous yogis of 19th century India , He married a Five Year Old Girl Sharada Devi (1859). Swami Vivekananda was his disciple. ♦️Mahadev Govinda Ranade (d. 1901), a social reformer, spiritual man and author who founded the Social Conference Movement in India, ignored his disciples' suggestion to marry a widow when his first wife died, and remarried eight-year-old Ramabai. ♦️King Richard II -1400 AD, He married a 7 year old girl. ♦️ One of the architects of the Indian Constitution Dr. Ambedkar married a 9-year-old Rama Devi. ♦️Satyendranath Bose, India's most accomplished physicist, is married to 11-year-old Ushapati. ♦️Srinivasa Ramanujan, a famous Indian mathematician, married Janaki, a nine - year - old girl (in 1909). ♦️Henry VIII -1500 AD, He married a 6 years old girl. This is a picture of many famous personalities in the history of the world. So what do you say?😊 Know with that, 🔰 Early marriage is practiced all over the world, regardless of caste or creed. Historically there is no wonder in that. ✅"It needs to be remembered that many Medieval widows were not old, Important heiresses were often married between the ages of 5 and 10 and might find themselves widowed while still in their teens.” (Margaret Wade Labarge ; A Medieval Miscellany , page 52) ✅"In fact, until the mid 1960s, the legal age of consent in Delaware was 7 (Kling, 1965: 216). So a 50 year old man could legally have sexual intercourse with a 7 year old boy or girl.” (Anthony Joseph Paul Cortese , Opposing Hate , page 85) 🔰You have to understand , The age of marriage is then and now It's just relative. 🔰 Marital life is about things that take place in relation to the time of the respective individuals, their living conditions and life goals. It's up to them. 🔰 For those who are knowledgeable All of this is well known. That's all. 👉If you think child marriage is a thing of the past, think again: Half of US states set no legal minimum age for marriage, and several states have only weak oversight over the practice.Laws in 44 U.S. states allow marriage before 18. According to statistics from Unchained At Last, nearly 300,000 children - some as young as 10 - were married in the U.S. between 2000 and 2018. 👉Even today, in the 21st century, India is home to the largest number of child brides in the world with at least 1.5 million child marriages each year, according to a report by the United Nations children’s fund, or Unicef. 👉Under current canon law in Vatican City, men can marry only 16 years of age and women 14 years of age with parental consent. (‘Code of canon law-Chapter III’)

exactly theres an mma fighter rn who was working in sand mines since he was a small child to provide for his family as his father was dead and he needed to pay for his school and also provide for his siblings and mother that same child would be as mature as a playstation kid who is fed and cleaned by their mother??? absolute nonsense

Ayesha رضی اللہ عنھا was a young adult, not a kid. Always remember one thing! The word 'maturity' is what fluctuates in every century. Just a couple of centuries ago, some of the most famous people were getting married at 14, 15, and 16 years of age. There is nothing new here, this is world history. People matured at different ages in different times. May Allah ﷻ guide the sincere and severely punish these Islamaphobes. Ameen!

the hadith that i provided previously, I can translate it said: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Command your children to perform Salat (prayer) when they are "seven years old", and beat them for (not offering) it when they are "ten", and do not let (boys and girls) sleep together". that mean boys and girls will be ready to have sex when they 10 years old .. that's why do not let them sleep together.. and because the incest is forbidden

Ash-Sharh al-Mumti‘, 12/53 With regard to consummation of the marriage with a minor, it does not become permissible by merely drawing up the marriage contract; rather the husband should not consummate the marriage with her until she is able to have intercourse, which is not necessarily at puberty. This is something that varies from one environment and time to another. With regard to that, sharee‘ah pays attention to physical makeup. The fact that it is permissible to marry a minor girl does not imply that it is permissible to have intercourse with her, rather the husband should not have intercourse with her until she becomes able for that. Hence the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) delayed consummating the marriage to ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her).

He constantly moves the goalposts. @20:40 he says he considers large age difference marriages is child abuse biologically. But he started the conversation saying he agrees with the principle of presenting and doesn't judge the past. And only wants to focus on the psychology. Here you can see he shifts his position to try to show Abbas as "wrong". People need to learn to be consistent and just say oh ok, I take what you say, I will go away and reflect. Grow some balls. Give parents credit where it's due. Make decisions and own them. Not avoid responsibility and push the burden onto others

They should also know the stage of growth we call adolescence wasnt created until the late 1800s and before then marriage was consummated through all cultures when puberty had arrived adolescence has basically enabled society to coddle otherwise able people to stay in the mindset of children and stunt mental maturity until they leave their parent which is usually 18 at the earliest and some into their 20s and 30s etc *Stanley Hall, was credited with discovering adolescence (Henig, 2010, p. 4). In his study entitled “Adolescence,” he described this new developmental phase that came about due to social changes at the turn of the 20th century.* look him up

Why the debate around the age of Aisha, the Prophet’s wife, is *irrelevant.* First Understand *4 things* : 1) How to study history? 24-26 ) 2) What is history? Early marriage is practiced all over the world, regardless of caste or creed. Historically there is no wonder in that. ✅"In fact, until the mid 1960s, the legal age of consent in Delaware was 7 (Kling, 1965: 216). So a 50 year old man could legally have sexual intercourse with a 7 year old boy or girl.” (Anthony Joseph Paul Cortese , Opposing Hate , page 85) 3) Why so in history? 4 ) 4) Those who say nonsense without knowing any of this are just idiots. 135-140.)

People are so ignorant and have no idea that in our own country, who btw considerse itself are progressive, feminist, modern, western etc, that there is no age limit here for marriage. All it needs is parents consent and judge, she could be even 10 years old. There is no law about legal age for marriage here. It is not done culturally, but legally there is not limit. If the parents want to marry their 10 year old and find a judge to sign up on it. They can do it and people here have no idea and are always 😮 when I tell them this.
