Hope all is well. As you must have seen, we have been bringing you our VLOGs from Mussoorie and it has been great to share our experience with you. This episode is for all the food lovers. I have been coming to the hills for a while but have never really had a chance to eat authentic Garhwali food so I decided to get our wonderful cook Ajit to make some authentic Garhwali dishes for us. Ajit is a brilliant cook who can cook Italian, Mexican just as easily as Indian dishes. I have often taken his recipes for myself( coz they are so good).
But we got him to make authentic Pahadi Khana and it was delicious.
The dishes he cooked are
1. Kulath ki dal ka phena
2. Kulath ki dal ka patoda
3. Mandwe ki Roti
4. Mandwe ke aate ki baadi
5. Muli ki Thichodi
6. Bathue ka Saag
7. Jhangora
8. Pudina dhaniye ki chutney
He also didn't want to put too much stuff in the dishes because he says people in villages don't put too many things. They keep the dishes simple.
