Hi Rimon..one suggestion as an added bonus would be more detailed description of your actual workout out protocol\techiques to maintain muscle mass.. As we know.. next to diet and sleep..it's top pillar of heath and longevity 🙏🤗
Hi Rimon, Thank you so much for your Great videos very helpful and informative 👍❤😊 Could you please share which brand of niacin are you taking?! Greatly appreciated 🙏
Exactly what I came to say - and I never comment on videos! The info is great but it’s really hard to listen to with the loud music! Actually, I’m not convinced that we need music at all. Thanks for being open to input.
Thanks for a very well produced and helpful video. Just one little thing - the music is UNBEARABLE. Please don't add a noisy and distracting sound track. ESPECIALLY if your target viewers are seniors. A lot of us find it really hard to hear and absorb content if there is loud music competing. I wanted to get all the information but I was forced to stop because the music was making me crazy.
Great content. I have two suggestions: 1) the token music is way too noisy and constant. People won’t want to come back as much or at all so I’d bag it or greatly reduce the volume and only in a few places. 2) be more succinct overall. People are busy and there are always too many other options. Thank you for the valuable information!
Did i sum it up right? Obviously best to see the video for full details since it says a lot that I did not state but this is just a reminder on some points. CoQ10: - What it does: Helps generate energy in cells, supports heart health, and has antioxidant properties. - Why we need it: As we age, our cells create less energy and more toxins and damage, leading to aging. Levels of CoQ10 can also decrease due to stress, toxins, and medications like statins. - Dosage: Take 100-200mg/day if over 45-60, or higher if taking cholesterol-lowering drugs. - Food sources: Fatty fish such as salmon and tuna, organ meats like beef liver, and whole grains. - Warning: CoQ10 may interact with certain medications, including blood-thinning and blood pressure-lowering drugs. PQQ: - What it does: Promotes new mitochondria, and the dosage was listed as 20-40mg and may have anti-inflammatory effects. - Why we need it: Our bodies produce less PQQ as we age, which can affect mitochondrial function and overall health. - Dosage: Typical doses vary from 20-40mg/day. (500mg for recovery split up 3 times in the day) - Food sources: Kiwi, parsley, green peppers, and fermented soy products like natto. - Warning: As usual do not over do it. Vitamin K2: - What it does: Helps with calcium utilization and bone formation, and may reduce the risk of heart disease. - Why we need it: Vitamin K2 is not as well-known as other vitamins, and many people are lacking in this nutrient. It is especially important for bone health and heart health. - Dosage: Most studies use dosages between 45-360mcg/day. - Food sources: Cheese, eggs, butter, liver, and fermented soy products like natto. - Warning: People taking blood-thinning medication should consult with a healthcare professional before taking vitamin K2 supplements. Niacin: - What it does: Helps with energy metabolism, cholesterol management, and may improve insulin sensitivity. - Why we need it: Niacin is important for several aspects of health, and deficiencies can lead to a range of health problems. - Dosage: Low doses of 150-400mg/day can reduce inflammation and may improve insulin sensitivity. High doses can cause liver damage and inflammation. - Food sources: Beef liver, chicken breast, turkey, peanuts, and mushrooms. - Warning: High doses of niacin may cause flushing, itching, and an increase in liver enzymes. Glucosamine: - What it does: Supports joint health and may reduce inflammation. - Why we need it: Glucosamine is an important nutrient for joint health, and may be beneficial for people with osteoarthritis or joint pain. - Dosage: For joint health, Glucosamine sulphatethe recommended dose is 1,500mg/ twice a day. - Food sources: Glucosamine is not naturally found in foods, but it can be derived from the shells of shellfish. - Warning: People with shellfish allergies may have an allergic reaction to glucosamine supplements.
PQQ helps create new mitochondria, and the dosage was listed as 20-40mg. Glucosamine sulphate dosage was corrected to 1500mg twice per day at 18:15 in the video.
Thank you. I think I need to do more content for 65+. there is a lot of suffering that age we can and should prevent. It's not a profitable niche so researchers and experts leave them alone. I'm still thinking what can be done here
2:30 Yes I did meet an elderly gentleman once, who claim to be very weak all the time. I asked him if he uses a statin and he said yes, so I told him to get a supplement called coq10, it's the most expensive supplement you can get, and he agreed, that was a Saturday morning . Monday morning around 6:00am (I don't wake that early) he called me and told me he had a ton of energy after taking the supplement and thanked me profusely.
Hello Rimon! Thank you for this great info on Niacin, CoQ10 and K2! I was wondering which brand could you suggest for Niacin? I am 70 and do not take any medication and exercise during the week. Thank you!
Hi Jean, the truth is niacin is so cheap (and easily traceable by having a bit of flush) that I think it doesn't matter. Any company will do I currently take a capsule that has low filler but I must take it with food/bit of olive oil/avocado otherwise I will have a flush because of the quick absorption of the capsule. I also try 250mg sustain release, I'm doing an experiment on myself, yet to be published - still unsure on its effect. Google 250mg extended release if you want to try it too. There is only one I've found on the market.
@@WellnessMessiah CAN I TAKE THE SUPPLEMENTS YOU SUGGESTED HERE ALONG WITH MAGNESIUM GLYCINATE, VIT B12, VIT D3...{THESE 3 SUPPLEMENTS I AM TAKING REGULARLY]
Most of all I enjoyed the music... I couldn't hear most of the content. I hope it is fixed in your future videos as I think you have a great channel and I just subscribed.

Thanks for such great well researched content It would be of great help if you can share your opinions on anti aging drugs/ lifestyle for early to mid 30s Better start early since we already have so much knowledge right now with us
Yes, it makes me tipsy at 500mg fast release (not sustain release). you probably know what i'm talking about, niacin on this level inhibits stress enzymes, reducing anxiety.
I would like to present the negative effects of coq10 .At half recommended dosage was experiencing lightheadedness after 3 days as a machine operator I threw it away realizing although it may be needed I already get enough from my diet.
Hi there. So If I was to take these, do I need to take, a multivitamin, fish oil, etc? I'm taking a few vitamins/supplements already, does taking these cover most of what you NEED, or should you still take others? Thank you.
Dear Ramon, your information is so very helpful thank you. Your computer screen shows a graph of vitamins, effects etc. Is there a place where we might download this screen information? Perhaps a file or small e book? Thank you we need all the help we can get staying mentally, physically well. May your generosity return many fold. Sincerely from Tucson Arizona
Am gonna order these supplements right away, loving ur content jus xame across ur channel a few days ago. Whats ur latest take on using fisetin/quercetin as senolytics?? Do they work?? Have u made a vid on these which i could refer to?
really? omg this is great info considering i just got my medical results stating i need lymphatic drainage and i happened to see Dr. Mercola talking about these two supps and now i see your comment...no coincidence here
Thanks a lot Rimon for your excellent work. Could you please clarify further on vitamin B3 type we should take? Not quite clear to me what difference between niacin and nicotinamida. I can't find niacin 50mg in the market but nicotinamida 50mg. Niacin dosis in the market are quite higher than 50mg. It would be appreciated if you could tell us what brand you take. Thank you very much!
niacinamide in low dose is good for longevity but you already get it from food and b vitamin complex. High doses inhibit sirtuins - 100% sure. So I would stick with niacin/nicotinic acid instead. Niacin is a name given to separate it from cigarettes' nicotine... not the same thing.
@@WellnessMessiah Will Nicotinic acid produce flush the same as niacin? I can't even take Niacin doses of 25mg because the hives are so severe. It feels like and looks like an allergic reaction. The anxiety caused by the intense itching is too much.
Great video, but it mentions “…a high quality CoQ10…”. How can the average person workout which products bought OTC are high quality and which are garbage?
I currently take 500 mg each NMN and resveratrol. I’ve been reading about GlyNAC. Have you investigated whether these supplements interact? I was considering Fisetin Mayo protocol also but I’m a little concerned that all of those combined may be overdoing it
Take TMG with nmn and resveratrol because derivate of b3 like nmn lower methylation and that is bad for genes involve in cancer. Start all from low dose.
I take NMN and glynac daily. They work together just fine. I take high dose NAC because I have lupus. NAC is like a wonder supplement. Google NAC and any disease/illness and you will find that NAC helps it.
If you total the amount of supplements we need to take to be “healthier” it’s up to about 30 capsules a day + Omega 3 Fish Oil, probiotics too.. it seems like a never ending list, are these now the only three? LOL
Honestly, I looked at the title, and then I looked at how long the video was and I’m skipping it. I’ve listen to so many hours and hours on your channel and others that I’m at the point where I just don’t feel like an afford the time. Maybe you could make shorter versions of some of these, and then refer us to the longer ones if we want more validity. You and a few others I tend to trust the judgment of so I would be willing to take a look even with shorter explanations.
Excellent video! Can I ask which is the video used where David Sinclair talks at 8:45 about niacin - the title of the video, the channel, or the link please! I have used niacin myself for a long time now. Been taking every other day, and 1000mg - maybe lower can be used indeed. It's really important to concentrate on keeping the salvage pathway going by NAMPT enzyme running and NNMT enzyme not over-working :) - so we redirect niacinamide onto a new cycle.
What about berberine and its ability to shrink plaques? From the latest research it seems it’s much more effective than any intervention, including statins
So this is good, however I still am not sure how much nicotinic acid (in total) to take daily. Also, I wish you’ve talked more about taking it the right way, without affecting glucose level, becoming insulin resistant/diabetic, which is possible with high dosing. As I understand, in 0-2 hours after you take it, FFA ( Free Fatty Acids) release is suppressed, circulating fat is pretty low so glycogenesis is the main thing, however, 3-6 hours there is FFA rebound, carb oxidation goes down, so it’s important not to eat carbs in that window…I know you are dividing your dosage (you take it with each meal?), and that makes it trickier to understand how to space it all out…also, while inflammation is bad, I saw someone talking about improving blood circulation to the skin and organs during niacin flush which could be beneficial. I haven’t looked in to it yet but would like to know if it’s, indeed, beneficial - then may be not splitting the dose is a better way to go.
IIRC Masterjohn PhD channel claims that by not consuming. Carbohydrates in the period starting 3-6 hrs after taking larger doses of Nicotinic Acid should avoid affecting Insulin Sensitivity .. but YMMV 😅
Yes, that obvious about carbs during 3-6 hours after - after FFA rebound, glycolysis is down in that window, even lower than before taking niacin, so can’t process carbs well…taking it before bed makes sense to me
You're right. First, I failed to mention the need to cycle it. Taking 1-2 days off every week, or 4 days every 10 days. This will offset the little negative effect on blood sugar and insulin. The other thing: if I take 50mg with a meal /bit of olive oil/avocado, no impact on blood sugar. If I take more, it does. Remember that this effect happens as a rebound. Meaning, that you first get a good effect on blood fat and insulin goes dows first.
For me even 25mg of niacin is very uncomfortable - hot flushing and can't wait for it to wear off. I tried just 13mg today and could feel it but no flush, but don't see the point. I tried the slow release awhile ago and did not like that either - too uncomfortable. So it's just a no-go supplement for me ...
Nice video, so much knowledge, etc. What if the music is too loud and interferes with reception/understanding. You can please edit it and remove these pointless musical inserts???
Hi I said "low dose niacin it costs nothing" sorry bad audio quality Aim for 50mg in large containers , should cost about 1 cent a capsule/tablet. P.s. if you can - subscribe 😉
Hi Love your videos. At the 8.33 minute mark in this video it says' go to a sniping' in the subtitles and i can't hear that word and so I am unsure what he says - please ca you let me know.
Yes I think if using lower than 500mg or even 1000mg nicotinic acid per day, it is okay to divide it. Other than that, if the doses are high (for some other reason than NAD+ - as in elderly using it for cholesterol for example), it is better to use all at once because it takes the amidation pathway in the liver if dividing it all over the day - the liver can amidate 40mg an hour or so, if I remember correctly. It is conjugated by glycine if used high amount at once. This applies to portions that don't get incorporated into NAD+. Hmm, but low dose divided, under 500-750mg a day may be indeed nice for NAD+ - I need to think about that - currently I am taking all at once because I dont mind flushing and counting the transient inflammation as having a hormetic effect.
The main reason for me to take 1000mg at once is that I wanna trigger GPR109A receptors, known as niacin receptor (though niacin is not its natural agonist), gets activated by certain level of nicotinic acid only - yes we get receptors activated with smaller amount already but not all over the body and it can partly be confused with TRPV1 activation which makes the skin burn as with using chili pepper - nicotinic acid also activates TRPV1.
Yes you're correct, it's conjugated by glycine. It's good that you got it. Interestingly, TMG provides both removal parts for niacin (glycine) and niacinamide/NMN/NR (methyl). What worries me about the flush is the effect on prostaglandin 2 of the skin, which is clearly pro-inflammatory. But it is only in the skin. another benefit of separation is that niacin targets organs that consume NAD every 2-4 hours. so you feed the animal when it's hungry.
@@WellnessMessiah Nice! I had been using nicotinic acid once a day because I was using 1000mg amount (it was useful in covid times but had suspicions for regular use) but now thinking about going 4x lower, mainly because I saw on Michael Lustgarten channel that his NAD was even too high with 600mg (measured in blood cells probably, so we don't know all organs but..) but his aging tests was revealing more aging - maybe the excess NAD is used for CD38 (so we'd need to inhibit that - with apigenin etc). We don't actually use much methyl groups on niacinamide methylation once we direct the niacinamide back to the NAMPT route and so to create NAD+ anew - that's the best scenario tbh - so with my bog doses I didn't care if I feed it new niacin constantly because ideally niacinamide gets recycled into NAD+ by NAMPT enzyme anyways. Inhibiting the excess NNMT enzyme (by EGCG and green tea for example) helps to keep the niacinamide flowing into NAD and also preserving methyl some groups. You surely know about most of it :) , so I am mostly writing for random readers that go by, that fasting and exercise also helps with NAMPT activation as do many supplements like rutin (which provides better slow-release quercetin as pure quercetin itself as if realeases itself during the pass through all intestines , keeping the levels nice in serum so liver enzymes don't overmetablize it as it does with quercetin), many solutions act on NAMPT via AMPK activation (incuding berberine I think but also resveratrol and lipoic acid etc). Anyway, yes, I am thinking of using less niacin now and work better on and search for how to activate the salvage pathway more actively, and more inhibition of CD38 and other inflammatory NAD-consumers in case of larger niacin doses. Sweating out excess niacinamide also important ;) because there is no methylation used. And yes, it comes out in sweat. Thats partly why physical training is nice as well as saunas. :) Anyway, enjoying the video! I like the info I got few days back hearing about how working out once per two weeks may be enough for muscle group, nice :D
Take an asprin after initially to combat the prickling and severe flushing if you are sensitive... Your body will adjust ... I prefer to empty the capsules into a bottle of water that I drink throughout the day with glutamine that repairs your muscles ... You cannot overdose... on niacin ... Google Dr. Abram Hoffer.... Must change to whole plant food diet plan ... No money ... Science Dr. Greger ... Cardiologist Dr. Esselstyn ... Many more ... Supplements are not enough plus weights plus HIT exercise
Hello Rimon, you talk about Niacin... what is you opinion about Niacinamide? I am taking 500 mg of niacinanide but after seeing this video I wonder if I should starting Naicin instead.
There is no way I could get to 600mg of niacin, I get a flush at 50-100mg. A flush is not harmful as it just a very temporary dilation of blood vessels that goes away fairly quickly but it can uncomfortable and even alarming to someone that does not know what is happening.
Google Dr. Abram Hoffer ... Take an asprin initially ... The body adjusts very quickly to it normally...empty capsules into flask of drinking water and sip thru day
Hi Ramon. I just signed up for your project 120...got lots of ultiself upsells during the checkout which I took for now at least but got nothing from you that mentions a project 120 course. Where is it buddy? Is it built into the ultiself premium app or how do I see the course? It looks like your course is actually a yearly membership which is ok so long as it gives constant value and new information. Just a little concerned I didn't get an email from you regarding the course unless I'm misunderstanding something.
Hi Alan, just read it now. The login access is most likely in the spam folder. If you can't find it, the customer service is at info@ultiself.com let me know if they didn't treat you right. It may take them a few days to respond because of the new year. Lots of love, Rimon

Rimon, I emailed you through your available through the email address available here on You Tube, but never got any response. I don't know whether this is a misunderstanding or not. My question had to to with the above vid, where you advise CoQ10 as a must-have supplement. However, Dr. Brad Stanfield did a recent video, where he pretends the complete opposite about CoQ10. Now we got two experts, used to looking at the science and yet, come to two completely different opinions. One is looking at animal research and the other at human evidence ? How to reconcile the aforementioned discrepancy ? I was interested in your course, but not so much anymore at this point.
Hi Brad and I have different backgrounds. You will have to make your decisions who should you trust. I suggest watching my intro video where I shares some of my results to help you choose your path. Happy New Year, happy holiday, lots of love in your direction♥
Can you check out nichita Company that was started by Nikita Conlan? She said Mnm doesn't help the cause of low Nad which constantly decreases. Her supplement does address the cause. Dr. Mercola interviewed her.
It takes an immense amount of unconsciousness not to realize how alienating your drowning music is in preventing the listener from understanding what's being said in the video. There is an intelligent folks out there in the world, and they don't need to be entertained with junk music while they're trying to find life saving information. Time to grow up!
In my view, do not act for these supplements without getting confirmation from your own doctor. It depends on your age, gender, family history, weight, and your blood test results.
That would have been doable in an ideal world but the reality is most doctors have no knowledge whatsoever about any supplements or dosages or combinations..... its a sad reality.
Ideally is buying from many brands and pay third parties out of pocket. Maybe I will do it. For now, look for GMP, third-party testing, a brand that existed for 10 years or more (reputation)..and test your NAD levels after 14 days of usage.
This video is extremely confusing the way it is edited and cut between so many different speakers and so many graphics and graphs. Let alone the loud background music and the messy explanations that have left me confused. I am now too confused as to what I am meant to do so I won’t be doing any of it. It makes me scared reading the comments below. I have always taken COQ10 and vitamin K2, but I am scared to take niacin because of all the conflicting information about dosage, brand, cycling and so on. One minute you say to take 500 then it’s 50 through the day then the next minute you say add NMN to boost NAD. All very messy.
Thank you for another interesting video. To be clear on the B3/Niacin Which one exactly should we be looking for? Nicotinamide? Nicotinic Acid? Niacinamide? I do understand your comments on dosing but am not clear about B3 type ....Thank you
niacinamide in low dose is good for longevity but you already get it from food and b vitamin complex. High doses inhibit sirtuins - 100% sure. So I would stick with niacin/nicotinic acid instead. Niacin is a name given to separate it from cigarettes' nicotine... not the same thing.
I just don't know if it is safe to take niacin if taking statins (to treat high cholesterol) and blood thinners. My cardiologist did not like the idea.
Google Dr Abram Hoffer ... Change to whole plant food diet plan ... No money ... Cardiologist Dr Esselstyn ... Will halt or reverse heart disease ... Science Dr. Greger .. many more
Most doctors and surgeons have no expertise in diet and nutrition... Their training is only based on prescribing chemicals ...nothing on healing your body naturally
My take away is to take low dose niacin throughout the day as a more effective and less costly alternative than NMN for boosting NAD, but maybe also work in a bit of NMN to target boosting NAD in the nerves.
Good question. As we speak, I'm checking 250mg sustain release, and there is even 100mg sustain release too. I'm just trying to find the best protocol on sustain release for longevity, I don't think this 500mg every day is best. For sure, you want to cycle sustain release (I need a video to explain why).
Do not try NMN without test your anti-free-radical capability first. More NAD+/NADH means more free radical will come out into your cell, especially when your mitochondrion is not in healthy status, for example, like too much Omiga-6 liposomal on the inner membrane of mitochondrion . More NAD+/NADH also means more energy will be pumped out of mitochondrion. That's why you need to make more exercises and by the way boost up your body's endogenous anti-oxidation network. That's why David Sinclair takes Alpha-lipoic-acid and Co-Q10. The last question is that when taking enough NMN in a long term and your cell signs that it does not need so much more energy, then what will happen on your mitochondrion (production > demanding status)? Don't forget you are still taking more NMN on the way.
yes, it will still be soft plaque which possibly could be removed by hdl. this is why k2 isn't the sole strategy here...and won't be bulletproof. still valuable as it does many other things
