Thank you for your recommendations! I have a question…. I’ve always preferred air drying my hair. Since it has grown out, I put my hair in 5-7 braids. It takes a long time to air dry - more than 2 days. Is it bad for hair to stay wet for that long? My hair is healthy, growing, but I’ve wondered about this.

@@fwifbpeace Hi! In general, leaving the hair wet/damp for too long, can create an environment for fungus to grow; leading to excessive dandruff/seborrheic dermatitis. Try allowing the hair to dry a bit before putting it in braids; or try sitting under a hooded dryer for just 20-30 mins after braiding, to help minimize the air dry time. Thank you for watching! 💛

I have a question... should I use a regular conditioner even when I'm gonna deep condition?
@BritanyMichelle
@BritanyMichelle 2 месяца назад
@@tarvera1 I would opt for it, yes. Most conditioners are formulated (pH wise) to close the cuticle layer after shampoos have opened the cuticle layer. In addition, most conditioners will generally have more “slip” than deep treatments; which will allow for smoothing the cuticles and detangling. It wouldn’t necessarily “damage” your hair if you don’t, but the benefits of conditioning first before deep conditioning, far outweigh leaving it out.

@BritanyMichelle thank you for clarifying that for me and us❤

I was skipping the regular conditioner and just use DC but on my last wash day I used both. My hair was so easily detangled and soft. I have high porosity which is probably the reason why when I used both, l had such a difference.

Is your hair a twist out?

It is! It’s a bit different here though, than how I usually style twistouts on myself.
