I have ramps for changing oil in my vehicles. I back the mower on the ramps and jack up the front with at floor jack. I put jack stands under the front and now have access to the blades under the deck. Just make sure that the jack stands are secure. I never just depend on the floor jack on the front to keep it up.

I have the 26 inch 550 lb lift like your model. My shop floor is smooth concrete and my zero turn mower’s front wheels push the jack across the floor. I put some wheel chocks behind the jack’s wheels and they won’t stop it from sliding. I then ripped a 1 x 6 to form a ramp, placed them against the wheel wells and can now drive the front wheels up and over into the wheel wells. Now, my problem is getting the mower out of the wheel wells. It will pull the jack across the smooth floor in reverse. The only solution I have found so far to this problem is to get a floor jack, slide it underneath the deck, jack the mower up an inch or so and pull the MoJack from under the wheels. The MoJack cost me $240.00 at Tractor Supply this past May. It is a convenient tool to have and will be better once I figure how to back off the wheel wells.

Have had one of these jacks for several years now. Use them on my own mower and seven other mowers at our church. It works great very helpful when changing blades. One thing I have noticed be sure to use the straps because if you’re rear wheels on the tractor do not rotate the front wheels will try to roll out of the wheel lifting devices. I also took some PVC pipe cut two pieces about 3 inches long and split them along the length to be able to slide them over the ends of the jack. This allows the jack to roll slightly and helps keep the wheels in the lifting devices.

I have had my MoJack for two years now and love it. I clean under my deck every other mow because of the grass and dirt that collects underneath. All the reasons you cover are fulfilled in my use. Easy to use, structural robust, easy to move around with the wheels, safe and storage is excellent because I stand it upright against the wall of my 12x16 shed. Great product for anyone with a riding mower/garden tractor.

so you spent how much vs a wash port and some cinder blocks and two 2"x8"? money that should have been spent on a pressure washer. i only need my 3 ton floor jack which lifts 26" on it's own, but when i built a dump ramp for my bagger on the river bank i can now just walk under my mower anytime i want. it's better than having an automotive lift in my garage. my garage stays clean the leaves i burn on the river bank take care of any mess.

lulz JD e130 that's a glorified green painted snapper made from sheet metal on a press. them things are so light i can lift the front end up and tip it straight over front to rear 1 handed while drinking a cold one. even the 1970's 140h3's weight 8 times more than that, and i could push them from one end of the yard to the garage when they ran out of gas as a 12 year old.

I purchased this Mojack HDL 500 lift at Home Depot. It looks well made. I have a 60" Ariens Ikon mower and I found you can not drive on lift without raising your mower deck all the way up with mower foot lift. If you don't the small ,center, front mower deck wheel hits the front of the Mojack lift which will keep pushing it back, not allowing mower wheels to go into Mojack lift wheel holders. So far so good.
@gregie9999hotair1
@gregie9999hotair1 Год назад
That means only one thing, you set your deck for grass mowing height and never change it. I can't do that here where I live, my dirt road is 1600 feet long with uneven terrain . Plus I don't want to bash in the front of mower deck on something. That seems to be a trend I never knew, I thought that was the unspoken rule, raise your deck when your done mowing. I guess not.
@xaytana

Whenever you do your one year follow-up, you should explicitly mention the product model, not just the brand. MoJack has eight different standard products, with three additional products that're branded for different mower brands, where two of which, with an additional branded product so 3 total, are hydraulic and have this design; this product, the 500 pound capacity version, a 550 pound capacity version, and a Cub Cadet variant of the 550 pound version. All the other products use a vertical screw with cantilevered legs and wheel holders, except one model that uses a screw based scissor jack that keeps all the load bearing directly under the wheels with an extended footing. This specific product is the HDL, as the sticker says. Having a link in the description to your generic storefront of choice really doesn't alleviate the inevitable consumer confusion when you only refer to a product by the brand's name and not the product's name as well.

What's up brother it's nice because the straps are the same ones you use to hold down your Cub Cadet side by side on the trailer so you don't want it to move but I always believed in find a better Jack then what's needed for the vehicle especially if you have to work under it I have a friend that was working in his driveway on his car and the Jack let loose did not have jack stands and broke both his legs when the car came down now I always like to use Two Jacks if possible when working on my truck along with a jack stand and if I'm removing the tires I also like to lay them under the truck because I do not feel like having round 5400 lb falling on top of me but once again another great video showering safety is so easy these days when purchasing items but still anyting could happen at any time so just be safe and don't use milk crates thinking they're going to stop a vehicle from falling😎👊🍻🇺🇸this was a real nice right video hope you're enjoying your weekend with your family like always

Sir good video, one safety step you should do first after putting it on the lift. You strap your wheels down first. This locks them in place as you lift, no chance of rolling off the lift when raising it. Some say it won't but, it has happen on other lift units. Why take the chance. O by the way we own three of these units they are great.

I bought one of those three years ago. The bottle was faulty because the O ring wasn't set properly so MoJack sent me a new bottle. I fixed the original bottle and kept using it but it took forever to pump it up. I recently replaced the bottle with the replacement but it also takes forever, literally about 15 minutes to get to the second height lock. Should I just buy another bottle perhaps with better specs? It's a terrific well made lift if the botttle would work properly
@canadave1

A handy friend messed around with the bottle and got it working properly. I absolutely love this lift I just sold my place and my Simplicity zero turn goes with it. I cut around 3 acres but less than one at the new place in Brockville Ontario. I'm going to buy a John Deere X330 mower but I'm taking my Mojack with me. I'm looking around to see if I can find one for the buyer to buy but they seems to be as rare as hen's teeth these day but I see they have them in Watertown NY but a lot more expoensive than here in Canada.

Make sure the brake is OFF otherwise when you pump it up the wheels can come out of where they are and the tractor can com crashing down. The straps that go around the wheels help to keep them on.

I ordered a replacement $58 and it’s been 3 months and it still is on backorder. I would not recommend HF for anything your life depends on and if you buy anything open the box before you leave the store their warranty is so bad people buy a 2 Nd tool pull out the part they need and stick the broken part in the box and return it. Then it goes back on the shelf and I come in and buy the broken junk. It happened with a power washer I bought too. I’ve lost faith in their products

This lift is capable of lifting 500 pounds on the front, but I doubt it would safely lift and support my JD. I loved your review, but I might need somethng more substantial.

@spdterence
@spdterence 2 года назад
So maybe I missed it - but do you mention that you need to unlock the transmission on many mowers to use a jack like this? Because this jack stays fixed and the mower needs to move forward as it raises and if the transmission isn’t released it will at minimum drag the rear wheels and at worst damage your transmission. With a trolley jack or something entirely on wheels it doesn’t matter because the jack moves, following the arc of movement.
@douglasmacgregor7436
@douglasmacgregor7436 2 года назад
Excellent point! Also, the instructions say to lock the brake but as I'm watching the video and he is jacking it up, it's obvious that the rear wheels are moving (as you mentioned) If the foot brake is on, the back wheels can't rotate and the tractor can't jack up. So what are you supposed to do? Are you supposed to leave the foot brake off while jacking and then try and put on the foot brake with your hand? Ever try that? Good luck. So including the transmission tip what's the story on the foot brake?

You can get the Cub Cadet lift from Tractor Supply for about $80. Looks exactly like this one. Probably made by the same company. It's rated to lift 550#.

I use ramps for the rear and a roll floor jack with jack stands for the front. Works for me.

Zero turn does not work with this. Mower deck hits jack center frame on mower and you cannot drivev on. No good for 0 turn!!
