Thank you for sharing! Agree with all you suggested but for me the most important was the back scratcher! Thanks again!

Audrey I will tell you I took your advice before my mastectomy. Thank you so much for posting this super useful information. It made my recovery so much easier. I made 2 pouches out of a reusable grocery bag. This way I could use one in the shower and then let it dry and still have one to use. I purchased a Boppy on eBay for around $20, So worth it! I also walked every day up until my mastectomy which I think helped a lot with my recovery. I think having a lot of oxygen in your blood is super important when you’re getting ready To face a trauma of this magnitude. I had the boppy around my waist for pretty much the last two weeks. They ended up taking eight lymph nodes which caused me severe armpit pain. My teeth would chatter from the pain. Make sure you’re drinking lots of water with your medication it will work better. I tried to do the exercises and it put me in so much pain I absolutely could not do them. I have lost range of motion, I hope it will be restored. The plastic surgeon also put a very large expander in my chest and I am concerned. It actually digs into my armpit, goes almost up to my collarbone, to the center of my sternum and to the under crease of Where my breast was. Does this sound normal to y’all?

This was one of they best after care to see. All what you had I personally had to make shift as I go. I will try and make up kits to help out others before they make that journey in the blind. Thank you for sharing this video.👌🏾

Audrey - thank you for sharing. My double mastectomy is a month away and I'm in the prep-mod. It is good to know where to put my energies these next few weeks. 'Jesus Calling' is my favorite devotional. Blessings and thank you for being a blessing and encouragement.

Dont ever let your drains dangle. It took me over a week to get this special camisole that was supposed to be given to me during my pre-opp appt.., it has inside pockets in it for my drains. Its been over 2 weeks for me and i still have 2 out of 4 drains. IF YOU get expanders then expect to be uncomfortable. I have expanders and i am still uncomfortable with tightness, etc. God bless u. Thanks for sharing your tips.

These are fantastic ideas!🤔 Thank you so much for posting this, it's a cute & useful vid. Im going to try to get ALL of these items! The back scratcher will be key! Especially because of the low "range of motion" in your arms post-op. I hope you're all tip top now, and thanks again! ♡

I had an Assistant at the hospital that came in the second day and gave me a clean gown, changed the linen and took off the leg compressors. This afforded me the opportunity to sit up in the recliner, which she set up😀, and allowed me to walk around😀😀😀😀😀🙏. Yeah, Veronica!

Thank you for this generous video. I think it'd be helpful to share what kind of a mastectomy you had (if muscles, lymph nodes were involved). I hope you are well!

J Wu sorry for the late reply, I haven’t looked at this video in ages. I had a double mastectomy with tissue expanders, as simple as one can get. I was supposed to get my permanent replacements in about six months, but it looked like I was going to die so it wasn’t really worth it. Well, about two years later i was still kickin, so we decided I’d get the new ones. They felt much better than the “footballs” I had in there for two years. There was no lymph node or muscle involvement. :)

What did u use to sleep? Did u buy a special pillow?
@audreyovercomer4781
@audreyovercomer4781 5 лет назад
minisight2000 so sorry for the late reply. I don’t remember having a special pillow, but I definitely had to learn to sleep on my back. I’m a side sleeper so that was tough at first. In order to get up from laying down, someone had to push/pull from my back. But absolutely not by using my arms to pull. That would be a big ouch!

Please can you tell me the name of the diffuser and Where I can buy one. Is this devise a humidifier also ? Thank you

Pauline Mcleggan Hi Pauline. I use the Young Living. I’ve tried every other one, and none compares to this. You also want to diffuse and/or use only the best oils. I am a distributor and would be glad to answer any other questions. God bless you in your journey.

Audrey Overcomer Thank you for your prompt reply. My daughter is having a mastectomy and reconstruction on Tuesday. Shes only 28 so I want things to be as perfect as possible for her. When you say your a distributor, do you sell the rose diffuser?
@audreyovercomer4781
@audreyovercomer4781 5 лет назад
Pauline Mcleggan I would have been even quicker, but it’s been so long, I couldn’t figure how to reply, lol. I do “sell” YL oils, diffusers and supplements. But I’m not a “salesperson.” I’m just an avid user of their products. I was given less than our year to live in the summer of July 2015. But I’m still here, and after God and lots of love, I attribute that well-being to all of those things I use from Young living. I can send you a link where you can order your own diffuser and a few minutes.

I highly recommend choosing membership over retail customer. If you would like more info, I’m glad to speak on the phone or somehow private message each other.
