I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2021 June after I went for annual check up of health. My reading of TSH was 85 but I did not have much problems except insomnia. Doctor prescribed me levothyroxine after taking this medication for a month my TSH level was 11 but then my health deteriorate had thinning of hair, heart palpitation, pain in the joints, mouth becoming dry very often the lists go on. When I told doctor about it he did reduce my dosage but these symptoms still stayed. So I was instructed to stop medication on August 2021 when my TSH level was 6. Since then till now never took this medication. I thought it is because of overdose and doctor said so.
Thanks for the reply doctor. When ever I eat gluten or sugar I feel sick again. Is the processed sugar bad for thyroid or any sugar. I am sorry for asking too much question.
Since on Levothyroxine, I have severe hair loss, extreme heat intolerance, depression, irritation, insomnia, and weight gain, to name the worst of my side effects. I used to be a social person. Always going, being, doing and seeing . After 23 years on this drug, I’m but a shadow of myself. Yet my doc insists I cannot stop the drug. I’ve questioned it, but keep hearing I must stay on it.
@@AnshulGuptaMD yep & every Dr I’ve ever gone to tells me it’s not the meds & that it’s all in my head & that I’m just getting older (in my early 30’s) Lmfao!
I've been on levo for 10+ years now, but I always feel better if I forget my medication. I also sleep better. Can I stop taking it and try to resolve it in a natural way or am I stuck feeling 😟 for the rest of my life.
Nice information but these are side effects and it is not mandatory that all will experience them...I am on this medicine 100mg from past twenty years but have none of the symptoms mentioned here . occasional bloating that goes off if I be more cautious with diet . The only purpose of the comment is to make people realise that if there are symptoms take other factors as well instead of blaming the medicine . A lot of people get fat due to lack of exercise but blame it on hypothyroidism.
Levothyroxine has Sodium Lauryl Sulphate in which I am allergic too so now I take NP Thyroid which has very few fillers in,. but it is quite expensive.
I need to find help because I have have hypothyroidism what type of doctor ( Specialist) do I need to see? Thank you for sharing your wonderful advice!
I have no thyroid! I had Graves disease they ended up using radiation therapy to kill off my thyroid! I was on levothyroxine. My work got rid of our insurance. Now I have some kind of discount whatever! I can't find a doctor who will accept it! I have now been without any thyroid medication for 3 months and a few days! I'm also trying to take care of Mt adult disabled daughter! I was told I have fibromyalgia in 210 and osteoarthritis In both knees! My fingers are swollen at the joints and I can't straighten my fingers out anymore. Any thoughts? Is there a supplement I can take to help me!
If you dont have a thyroid you should not stop taking levothyroxine before planning a shift to alternative medicine with an edocrino, extreme hypothyrodism can lead to Myxedema coma!
Levo has been very helpful for me. However i am gaining weight and my hair is thinning, and it was already very thin! Im really hoping to get my Hashimotos into remission and quit taking this pill.
Hello Sir, my functional doctor ask my Endocrinologist to switch from Levothyroxine 50 mcg to Armour 30 mg, as he said it’s natural medicine. Is Armour any better version of levothyroxine? Can you please suggest natural way to treat hypothyroid? Can thyroid be cure without medicine? I’m feeling most of the problems you described in your video. Thanks 🙏
Been taking 112mg pill and a half after 13 years nz doctors now say don't split the 25mg pill instead take the 25mg whole every other day.i couldn't walk. 10 feet without breathlessness and heart flutters
All side effects you mentioned in this video I am experiencing every daywith synthroid., and would like to switch to another therapy., can you suggest your solution of natural or less invasive threatment? Thank you Doc!!
I'm on .88 MCG and don't have any of these side effects. I started with .50, then .77 and now .88. Thyroid is at 8.3 and really I see an issue with weight gain and expressed this concern with my doctor. Not sure what is going on?
Yoga and coriander seed water is very good in throid. You can try that. I cured my throid with this. And excercise and good life style will speedup curing process.
I was born without a thyroid and I'm currently 28 years old. I've told my Drs I want to try adding t3 but they always make up some bullshit excuse about why it won't help. My life is a never ending Hell because of that gland that didn't form when my mother was pregnant with me
