Some stuff about the Wiki that you didn't mention, that I find important: a) you can type "/wiki " and then just shift-click an item in your inventory to open up that item's wiki page. And b) "/wiki et" is the short form for the Event Timer page. Also try "/wiki fl" (Fractal levels) and "/wiki eo" (Easy Objectives, for the dailies/weeklies)
Thanks for reminding me about gw2efficiency- guildie told me to use it and I *did* bookmark it but then Pocket Raptor attack and... I paused your vid to make an account and weep at how much the stuff in Material Storage is worth. But I needs that stuff! No selling! Is needing more stuff! yes, yes!
I've come back to GW2 after taking a year long break, and GW2Efficiency has actually changed my whole experience. It makes legendary crafting easier to understand and puts things in a more linear order. The wiki is also a frequent visit for me, I especially love the live event timers.
3:32 - regarding the Event Timer in the Wiki: Read the documentation at the bottom! ("feature documentation" in the "Event timer settings" box) I was today years old when I learned via a Reddit comment that you can not only drag and drop the individual timers to rearrange them, but there's also a somewhat hidden delete button at the very right where you can hide timers irrelevant to you - looking at you, Scarlet's Invasion!
Thank you for your videos! I played the OG guild wars way back in the day and I started playing GW2 from day 1 for about a year, then my son was born and i stopped playing and now, about 12 years later (and another kiddo later :)), I am getting back in to it and even got all the expansions for my birthday last week so I'm excited to get back to playing and I appreciate your videos as I get back in to the game. Thanks again :)
Sooo much useful information packed into one video. Lots of the websites and tools here have made playing the game a lot more convenient for me - and saved me a tonne of time figuring things out as well!
If you want to make your own build, here's a tip: 1. Choose Charr (the superior race) 2. Choose Elementalist (So you don't feel bad lying face first in the dirt, cuz thats part of your rotation) 3. Equip Cele-Stats (Everything) 4. Grind for hero-points to unlock Tempest (Because 40% less damage with Protection is OP) 5. Use Earth-Spec and a lot of Auras to give you 200% uptime on Protection 6. Enjoy your life as a pve-roaming killing machine that survives almost everything while spitting out boons left and right!
i also use metabattle for builds, theyre a little less fancy but you can see all of the builds for each game mode per profession with ratings which is super helpful at a glance, and for wvw it event separates into roaming build, zerg, or gvg. i also find all three sites are pretty comparable with the builds so it kinda doesnt matter which you go to. sc n hs might be faster with the update of the build after a patch tho. i dont use arcdps but i prob should. i just go look at the dps report my raid group posts after and i usually get a good sense how well i do that way. didnt wanna have to bother with arc dps crashing my game after each patch XD (im also just lazy lol) i cant live without gw2efficiency!!! that is all i have to say on that. blishhud is also so amazing, i used tekkit's pathing module for ultra fast soto lamp achievement, as well as helped me get my lw4 skyscale done fast. i dont use it super often but when i do use it im always so thankful!!!
You can integrate arc with bliss/nexus,i dont know about bliss but i integrated arc with nexus,it update arc automatically so when i am on character select screen notification will pop up that tells me to restart my game because everytime arc finish updating
Very helpful, didn't know some of these websites! Still need to convince myself to finally install Blish HUD. It seems kinda complicated to do that with all the modules and packs you can use 😅
It's not really complicated, but there are a lot of modules out there ^^ If you don't wanna scroll through all of them you might just wanna get some recommedations - might wanna watch a different video about useful blishhud features?
Hi. I'm new in GW2 and i really like your content. I'm played WoW before and i'm a little sad of only having 5 Charakter slots by now. I would like a Video where you explain how to get the cheapest way more slots. I'm actually a little disapointed in that limitation, becouse i love playing alts in MMORPG's 😅
Have you gotten Arc and Radial working at the same time? :o And yeah... The Blish HUD workarounds out there are a bit rough. Though I'm following the Nexus project with interest - it seems to be heading in a very promising direction! ^^
@@RQLexi Yeah, I got them working together by using FriendlyFire's addon loader! It allows you to load multiple addons that would normally have to replace files. I haven't heard about that project 👀 where can I find out more?
if i may ask, whats your customization settings for the warrior you use on previous videos? i think it looks really nice and would like to have a similar face.
@5:25 - Your top 10 gold farms video is still up to date? Sad that SotO didn't add anything. :( [currently grinding to get my Skyscale and now down to under 1g - guess I'll have to re-watch the video and see if there's anything someone as useless as me (hell, I'm even dumb enough to main Sword/Warhorn Warrior ;) can use :P] Edit: Alas, turns out none are suitable for my ineptitude. :(
In the end you can make gold a lot of ways. Do you got a glyph of volatility? Farming at Special spots is not too bad (at least for alt-parking) - i can recommend the drizzlewood coast as you can farm there in every new instance again. Fishing is quite relaxing as well. You might wanna check fastfarming out to find something that suits your style and interest :)
The wiki really is the gold standard for gaming wiki's. That being said, where was Tac0? I also use the mount wheel hud because most of the time I am playing GW2 using a controller (I know...).
to be frank if you do map completion and watch netflix on the other monitor, i would question if it is really worth doing or playing. Games are supposed to be fun, are they not?
2:55 Lara wait. is this bear the reason there is a prisoned bear in the desert city who tells you hes not really a bear? ^^ It is also called "Bear" in quotes
It depends a bit on which reShade settings you want to run with, but for the most part it will just result in some longer loading times, as long as you remember to activate performance mode after you're done adjusting your settings ^^
@@Laranity Are there any clear advantages? I still feel like TACO has more options for stuff like legendary collections and farming routes. I’ve never used Blish so I don’t know how versatile it is compared to TACO. First time hearing about Blish here.
I've always had a problem with the Wiki. It is guarded by a handful of people so that no helpful changes can be made. I've tried numerous times to add important details but they always get removed within an hour. It's annoying and I use videos more than wiki. Event timer is useful.
@@sid_thesid Oof it's been a while, but I remember 3 changes that were all reverted within the hour. One was for the Visions of Istan where we had to be standing on a particular ring-like platform to progress. The wiki just said the area, but didn't specify which of the three areas (above the dome, under the dome but on the ring platform, under the ring platform). I added this sentence in, but it was deleted. One was for directions to a cave in Verdant Brink. The directions missed a really important qualifier (again, an issue with verticality). I added it in, gone within the hour. Third, it was for adding information for WvW in acquring an item. The wiki didn't tell you which NPC to buy it from. I added in the NPC, deleted within the hour. If I recall correctly, two of the three changes were reverted by a single person. When I checked the history of GW2 wiki, I noticed that she was very active. Since then I essentially stopped using the wiki for details (but also because I don't need to redo any of those achievements). I feel that the wiki is guarded too closely by key editors, and while they may have good intentions, they forget what it's like to do an achievement with spares details.

@@LaranityHopefully Nexus will replace BlishHUD soon. BlishHUD just has too many useful modules I just can't give up yet to use Nexus. Pathing being a huge one
@@demonsagex Yet the GW2 says in part "We do not permit the use of any program that gives one player an unintended, unnatural, or unfair advantage over another player."
