Must see! CP Rail Military train March 30, 2010

CP Rail 8545 & 8578, a pair of AC4400CW's pulling a train loaded with Canadian military equipment. This equipment is returning back home to Canada from Fort Irwin California where Canadian troops were training in Jan/Feb before heading over to Afghanistan.
This is from what I heard 1 of 6 trainloads of equipment.
Please excuse the shaking of the camera. I was sitting atop a 40' pile of gravel while videotaping. :)

You were correct this train did originate from Ft Irwin, CA which is also known as the National Training Center. The equipment was from 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group; 2 Combat Engineer Regiment headed to back to CFB Petawawa (NW of Ottawa) from 45 Days at NTC for Exercise Maple Guardian Jan-1-2010 thru Feb-25th approximately. The unit deployed to Afghanistan in Summer 2010.

@andrewdoyle88 yep they were training at Fort Hood I think it was called. There were a total of 6 trains full of equipment I believe.

For all of you "highly doubting" it.. It was shipped from Fort Irwin California, the National Training Center, where Canadian forces trained for 2 months on 2 rotations for Afghanistan, a thing called g-o-o-g-l-e

It went by around 2:15pm or so. It was a nice surprise. I was only waiting for about 15 minutes then I heard some chatter on my scanner.
