I use oat as well but almond flour is made by just blending almonds. You could blend it yourself and save money. They just make almond flour expensive for no reason
I have already made your banana bread since being off work-I’m a teacher and am used to being productive and on the go, so I’m learning new recipes as a substitute lol- and I loved it!! I can’t wait to try the cookies and muffins in this video!! I also made your no bake chocolate peanut butter cookies and loved those as well. I’m actual binge watching your channel and making recipes. I’m going to start making some savory ones too. Thanks for being your sweet self and sharing all this wonderful food content.
These are great! Thanks! I also like adding a veggie puree for some of the banana in my baked goods (butternut squash, carrot and sweet potato all work well because they are naturally sweet) for both flavor and a little nutritional boost.
Im from India and here we are in the middle of a 21 days complete national lockdown, no one is allowed to go out, except for medical, law enforcement and emergency services workers, i've done everything that i can possibly do at home and although i love staying indoors its starting to get suffocating and claustrophobic so i am always looking forward to your new videos...Thank you so much Caitlin...
I've been baking a lot more than normal lately. I've already made a batch of sweet potato muffins this week and later today I'm making banana bread! Thanks for the video!!
All! I want to make them all. But I’ll probably make the banana bread first so I can eat it with some hot tea tomorrow morning. Thanks for the recipes!
I made the cookies the other day from your blog and they turned out so well! I'm definitely gonna make them again if I don't eat all my bananas first. Instead of half a cup oat flour and one cup oats, I used half a cup oats and one cup oat flour. And I didn't have applesauce, so instead I used a tablespoon soy yogurt (for the moisture) and a bit of soy flour (for the 'egg') 🐣😍🌱
Caitlin!!! You are a life saver 😅. I was staring at 6 very ripe bananas this morning and thinking about what I was going to use them for 😅. Well... not anymore!. Thank you for the ideas🤗🤗🤗
I have been making banana bread like crazy lately! It would be interesting to incorporate ingredients you used to make yours next time 😌 I also want to make the oatmeal cookies 👍🏽
Michellé I’m guilty of this✋🏽! I buy bunches at a time, freeze some, eat some and the rest sit. I used to throw them away but now it gives me an excuse to bake😄
Awesome recipes! It would be really helpful to provide quantity of banana in grams, as your banana can easily be 100g heavier/lighter than mine. Thanks :)
@@Dazzleddotz2014 yes it does. Maybe you only read the discribtion of "how to" make them. The recepie with measurements is at the bottom. Just scroll down more.
Thanks for the recipes, the timing was perfect! I made the breakfast cookies and the chocolate muffins last night. They were both super easy and really good! The cookies are not super sweet (which makes them perfect with coffee). The muffins are great. I added chocolate chips to the batter and it mellowed out the banana flavor (a good thing).
OMG I just looked at all the bananas I have at home and thought they're getting too ripe and I don't know what to do with them, so this is just too perfect!
I'm always excited to see ideas for how to use leftover bananas! The chocolate muffins look really good! I'd love to see some more banana-only sweetened recipes (no added sugar) like the breakfast cookies. #request :)
Eating the banana bread now. I’m so surprised about how well it rose and the internal consistency. It’s amazing. I added chopped walnuts to the batter, I like nuts. 😁 I also smeared a little coconut oil on the banana slices and sprinkled some coconut sugar on top. It kept the bananas from drying out and caramelized them. The whole thing was AMAZING! Thanks again for the recipes. ❤️
I just made the muffins and they are disgusting 😢😢 incredibley strong and the texture is horrible. I followed the recipe and am really upset as now my bananas have been used up.
Made these muffins!!!! BEST MUFFINS I've had in years !!!! Light and airy not dense which is amazing bc its GF. ingredients are accessible. Even my sister who does not like cake or muffins said they are delicious!!!!! Will keep making these . Note: I only had 2 bananas which still worked but the chocolate and nut butter flavor came through more-so with a slight banana fragrance. Just a note to keep in mind for the banana averse lol
I've made the banana bread recipe like three times, can't get enough of it! I'd make it every week if I could, but I normally don't have leftover bananas! Next time I go to the grocery shop I'll make a note to buy even more bananas than usual. :P So good!
Great simple recipes Keitlin! I will have to try making the chocolate banana muffins for my channel sometime as I haven't made them with bananas yet 👍 If I end with extra ripe bananas that is - as we use so many bananas for our breakfast smoothie, we normally run out! 😁
Love all your recipes. I developed dairy intolerance a few years ago from another medical condition. It has been hard for me to stay away from dairy consistently. Your videos have helped a lot. I will be trying to make the chocolate banana muffins soon.
I always throw bananas in the freezer to use for smoothies however during the winter I don’t like to drink frozen smoothies but I still buy bananas I don’t get to eat, so now I’ve ended up with a 2 litre box stuffed with frozen bananas
I made the banana bread and the bananas I used were so black and liquid. The bread turned out really good though!!! I also put in a little cinnamon and honey ❤
A great bananas recipe that will make a change from just eating them as they are. I am still social distancing and self isolating as much as possible. Keep safe and well Caitlin, Dylan and everyone else.
OMG MY FAVORITE THINGS IS BANANAS !!!I EVEN HAVE A BANANA PILLOW LOL I will definitely be making some this weekend! thanks so much for sharing the great recipes!! ;)
This recipes look heavenly! I’ll definitely try them since we have some bananas left here... I’m just curious about what’s the difference between cacao(?) powder and cocoa powder that you mentioned at the chocolate banana muffins part... I would be very grateful if you could explain what’s the difference ^^ Thank you!
You’re a banana saver!! I literally was just thinking before seeing this video what should I do with 3 bananas that I have left which are super ripe and didn’t want to freeze since I already have tons of frozen bananas. And then your video just came up🙌🏼 Thank you!!
This video came right on time! I have resorted to buying bananas in bulk because we eat them so fast. I’ve been freezing most of them for smoothies but I’m running out of space. I have the perfect amount to make ALL these recipes! 🍌🍌🍌
I always make your banana bread recipe, it’s the best! Definitely going to be making all of these, I think the cookies will be especially brilliant for when I hopefully start art college in September when I’m going to need a grab and go breakfast. I rarely have any left over bananas though because as soon as they go brown I put them straight in the freezer for nicecream and smoothie bowls 😍😂
The flax egg for the chocolate banana muffins was absolutely necessary. The batter was drier than the sahara dessert :/ The flavour is good, it's a shame the batter is not to my liking. It was really dry after baked as well.
Now banana and I don’t agree but I need to eat more fruits. So I need to find ways to like banana. Even the slightest banana in a smoothie I can taste. I do like banana bread and pancakes but I need a healthier alternative. Thanks for this video. . But those muffins omg
I made the first two, the cookies and the chocolate banana muffins. They were both good but the chocolate banana muffins were Heavenly and moist you were right! And right now I'm making 2 loaves of the banana bread and on one I'm putting chocolate chips the unsweetened chocolate chips and the other nothing I should have put walnuts though but that's okay it'll be lower in calories. Thank you so much Caitlin for putting all these great recipes up. I really enjoy watching you.
OMG! I feel like these recipes are going to lend a bit of comfort and normalcy to this weird sequestered life we're living right now... 🍪👌 Thank you for that! I always enjoy your playful energy.
