Just got my zeros yesterday and gotta say going from kz pro x to these were intriguing i like them compared to the kz ...less harshness smoother feel on the music ..not super bassy but enough to enjoy only issue I have is I've got to crank that volume up to get the full experience with the zeros everything in this video is exactly how they are ...ready to try the 7hz zeros next ...then the diokos
I've had my truthear zero for a day now and the bass is much cleaner than some of my other iems. Definitely my go to for listening to my concert recordings which tend to get blown out by the heavy bass speakers.
Got mine for about a week now and I was expecting unnecessary bass but the tuning is really well done. I prefer the tuning of this over my KXXS and OH1. The subbass sounds really good to me and some people dont prefer the treble of this but i do.
Yep, my only regret buying Aria SE is the treble area, the lower mid is great, but because of that lack of treble, it sound kinda muddy for my ears eventho it's actually not. My Aria SE sounds great when i adding 2.3db to 15k freq range then eq the 20-8k freq range to variations as target. I probably gonna tackle one of the zeroes depends on comparison vid
Thank you so much for this video, I was wondering which one I should choose between the Aria and the Zero, but you might've convinced me towards the Zero!
I was thinking what you would say about THAT Zero. And of course, that would warrant its own video. I can say that because I am carrying both Zeros at this very moment and basically A/Bing them.
I'm very pleased with these, I've got them paired with my TRN BT30 and it's so good having great sound with great Bluetooth without spending massively.
I got the oh10 & the zeros. The oh10s do feel better overall while providing bass. The zeros can drop though. If you like music with base, it's a great affordable option. You sacrifice a little detail/air for SO MUCH BASS. It's fun. It's pretty. It's cheap.
Love these but I thought maybe I was exaggerating the exact pros that you talked about...glad I’m developing “ears” for this hobby...of course you are one of just a few I get opinions from about sound and performance of iems....Thank You for what you do for this hobby and those who enjoy it...
Thank you so much! I definitely had to develop the ears as well, it helps to try some higher end sets to give you a sense of what is possible. So when a cheap set comes along, you can more accurately judge.
Looking forward to the comparison After some heavy tip rolling, I basically do not miss the SalZero (w/TruZero Wide Bores) when I wear the TruZero, but also do not miss the TruZero (w/ Azla SednaEarFit Light) when I wear the SalZero Got a few scratches on the faceplate surface of my TruZero already tho, that hurts somewhat x.x
Thanks for the review! I ordered the 7hz Salnotes Zero and the Truthear Zero and should be getting them next week. I got the 7hz Salnotes Dioko but am not enjoying the tuning. I am hoping I, at least, enjoy either Zero.
I’ve found that there are some noticeable differences switching between the narrow bore and wide bore tips that come with the set. I’m curious to know if you tried out both tips, and if so, what were some of the differences you noticed, and did you find you liked one pair of tips more than than the other?
@@proxyhx2075 I tend to like the wide bore because it opens up with a bit more detail and clarity. I wasn’t a fan of the wide bore tips it came with, so I use the Moondrop spring tips and love the way they fit and sound.
Well I guess I'll wait for the Zeros comparasion lol. I got myself a deal and got the 7hz zero for less than 15 bucks with promos. Really wanna see how it will hold up against the truthear.
I just bought it. So, why do people say the volume is low? I keep it 30-70% up or it's too loud. Edit: So 100% volume of listening to music is perfect. Edit(2): I just realized the bass adaptor makes it less loud.
Thanks man! I feel like my channel is small enough to where I can still have these personal interactions. I understand bigger channels that get 500+ comments. It's impossible at that point. But for me I'd like to reply to as many as I can for as long as I can.
@@Gizaudio you’re a really solid guy Timmy! I came to the comments just perusing and kept reading and seeing more and more comments you replied to and I see that you always make that effort. I definitely would love to see a collab as well but the Anole VX is a little out of the range of most everyday enthusiasts 😜😝 but seriously, any collab would be v cool to see! Regardless of what direction things take you specifically with your channel, I’ve been with ya for quite a while, like many here and I wish ya nothing but continued success moving forward. You offer a ton to the community and bring helpful tips to the budding audiophiles in the hobby and that’s so awesome that you take the time and energy to do videos that are beneficial to most people. Take care bro and keep up the awesome--
Have your tried these earbuds for gaming. Specifically with footsteps, do you feel like you can hear them well. I'm looking for earbuds that have awesome base but also great for picking up on footsteps and directionality.
Normie here, why aren't they compared to Mele? Different graph but both are $50 collabs. Speaking of which when are you going to your own collab?? What are your number 1 picks in the $20, $50, $100 that you would like to have your name attached to? Another way to phrase it; ignoring Harmon, popular, or good enough tuning which iems in the aforementioned price brackets live up to your own, treble focused, preference? I received mele and crin zero same time but an slowly trying out the mele before trying the zeros. I've got 7hz zero on the way but I would love a Timmy/Gizaudio iem! I am struggling with the graphs and tunings and having budget iems to get an understanding would be immensely appreciative! The Chus were good but the cable prevented me from truly putting miles on them. I lost my CCA cra and the mele serve as their replacement. I love the Aria but the cable went bad and I opted for new iems instead of new cables
Ohh that's a great idea. I'll do that. For the Mele comparison I'd say Mele is better for Male vocals as it has some warmth. The Zero is better in female vocals, Details are about the same. Treble is better on the Zero.
I got myself a pair and I would say it's a good iem if you're not paying attention to the details of the song for instance when you're going to the store to get groceries and you don't want to be bothered so you put your iem in and are multitasking listening to music and getting your groceries it's a really good iem now if you're looking for something that has really good tuning and technical aspects get the moondrop blessing 2 dusk x crinacle I have that and the zero and if I had to choose I would choose the dusk
Thanks for this video, it's very informative.. do you recommend this as in-ear monitor for guitar players playing live? I prefer a bit of bass because I just want more driving energy in my ears, I play worship music btw, just for context. thanks in advance!
@Gizaudio I am now using the Truthear zero for fps gaming. Maybe the tuning is great for fps gaming. Need a DAC suggestion for truthear zero. Which sound signature DAC should i pair to get more advantage in fps gaming???
use eq software and increase trebles and decrees little bass. also see for eq curves for specific games u will then experiment find the best suiting eq for specific games
Got these myself for the last 3 days, they absolutely punch well out of their price range in many areas and the fact that they compete with IEMs almost twice their value is no slouch! Compared to my Timeless & Dioko it's nowhere as good with the soundstage and overall detail, but the tuning and bass response is flat-out more fun than the Dioko, imo.
Exactly how I feel. Diokos have been my everyday driver but these have been my "fun pair" I keep for when I just want to chill listening to music. Still love my Snowia (Aria SE) but between the two I'm having trouble finding a spot for it as the two mentioned prior kinda fill my needs. Might end up selling the Snowia, not sure yet. It's definitely smaller than the other two. Maybe my sleep pair? lol
@@Gizaudio Everyone should have a guilty pleasure pair of IEMs for when they don't necessarily want maximum resolution, they just want a fun tuning. The TruthEars x Crinacle Zero should provide for that nicely. It was also what he did for FiiO with the FHE: Eclipse. Just monstrous amounts of impeccably controlled bass with good mids and treble so they're actually usable and very fun. I think his phrasing for that one was "Fuck you, bass." Gotta love when someone decides to give people what they ask for and they make something that sounds great, then give it a solid kick in the bottom end so the bassheads can actually listen to it.
I compared the graphs between truthears zero and MEST mk2. The midbass elevation is similar. But I don't think MEST mk2 is bassy or bass head. Maybe audiophile kind of bass :)
Tuning is nice but technical performance is where the magic is. After burn in, I like the tuning of the KZ CRN PROs but there is very little detail. My Fearless Freedom S8s have insane detail but after listening all day, my ears/brain is fatigued from processing so much information.
I think these are pretty cool if somehow a quad brid is born out of it Subwoofer, Dd. BA and Est in an iem. Ive just gotten Moondrop Variations and im happy with it for gaming and music
hmmm given the technicality like that, i guess imma take the starfield then, i need wider soundstage for gaming because sometimes im gonna swap my headphones
@@Gizaudio haha, you’re right, could see some being lukewarm to the set based on preferences, but I think you covered the IEM’s strengths perfectly in your review!
Can you please elaborate a little more about the differences between the Dunu Titan S and 7hz Zero? I listen to a lot of Jazz, funk and older blues. I have the fiio fh3 and I want something different.
First IEM I wouldn't recommend the S12 as I'm not sure what your treble tolerance is. So I would say go for the Aria, you'll get better male vocals from it.
Not really related to the video, but I'm a musician (specifically a drummer) looking for a budget pair of in-ears. What would you recommend out of all of these? I'm looking for good instrument separation, a neutral-ish tuning that focuses more on vocals and keyboards and guitars, and (because I'm a drummer) the best isolation so I don't damage my hearing further than it already is 🙃. Thanks!
I can't help you much for isolation as most ears are different. Though I would say finding the right eartips is crucial for a good seal. For recommendation, I'd say the 7hz Zero is a good neutral option and it's also cheap. If you want better separation than that, you'd have to go for Dunu Titan S.
if u like bass and good mid and sub bass with some good level of upper end tuning then get these aria has better sound stage , details ,less treble range . i dont want treble and love bass so i will go with zero u can choose accordingly. u have aria so try smth new.
Best 1st IEM I mostly listen to vocals, Classic Rock, Pop, Instrumentals songs Moondrop Aria Tin T3+ 7Hz Dioko Truthear Zero 7Hz Zero That ending cliffhanger though 🔥🔥
If I listen to mostly rap and electronic music, would you say the Aria or the Zeros are better for me? Love the videos by the way, you've helped in my research quite a lot :)
@@Gizaudio i’ve counted the days man, I swear to you, but I still am struggling to choose between aria x truth zero . Im not really into vocals (i do like em) but I mainly listen to orchestral / symphonic / soundtracks. What would you recomend? Also, Im inclined to more calm and introspective music, so that I can really feel the music, you know? Im new into do hobby so I am still trying to figure out whats best for me, unfortunately I cant test all those devices 🥲
To upgrade from Variations we're talking end game IEMs now so prepare the wallet lol. My pick would be the Sony IER Z1R or the Monarch MK2. Z1R if you want to hear the best bass in IEMs. Monarch MK 2 if you want more midbass + better overall tuning, with a small cut down in subbass.
Pretty sure the 7Hz Zero got some input from Crin during development, since he was also working with them at about that time to develop the Dioko. He just didn't put his name on it. I also think he was less invested in the tuning process compared to his actual collaboration products, but it was still enough that the 7Hz Zero managed to end up with that amazing tuning at the $20 price range. I guess when you're a company known for their single DD IEMs, you can make things work well with just a little bit of advice from Crin.
@@Gizaudio cool, would love to hear your thoughts, especially on the new bone conduction driver in the red halo/le jardin! :) i own an indigo and it's really immersive already.
