In one, he discusses Patton, in the other, William Tecumseh Sherman. Hanson stresses that both men believed in the virtues of speed and ruthlessness, because they knew that by moving speedily and ruthlessly, while they might incur and inflict casualties which moving more slowly might prevent, in the longer run, speed and ruthlessness would end their respective wars much more quickly, and save more lives ultimately.

The residents of Netivot are against the deal. We've been losing sleep supporting the war effort and we don't agree with this disgusting show off weakness.

This dilemma would be easier to swallow if those responsible would have resigned and the war prosecuted under new leadership. May Hashem see to it that Mr. Pollard is soon elected to the office of Prime Minister.

unfortunately the hostages have to be seen as casualties of the NOV 7 attack if they are redeemed then praise god, we still do not know how many are alive, To make a deal not knowing the health and well being and the number is very strange and only some not all the hostages even stranger to me and the ratio of the numbers.

Jonathan there are a lot of us who agree with you. Why should Hamas dictate to Israel over the release of hostages. I think Israel should withhold humanitarian aid to Gaza until ALL the hostages are returned alive. Have all the precious Israelis and soldiers who have been killed died in vain?

Now I have listened to 10 minutes and heard the argument that: if the hostages are released, the Americans will say, 'the war is over, you must go home' . . . ??? Huh??? I thought the war was not only about freeing the hostages, but about destroying Hamas, which will be easier to do if they do not have any hostages (which is why they are holding hostages anyway) . . . so this is the second time I feel there is some strange logic here . . .obviously having a strange and different agenda . . .

So, I have a question,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Why is the Rav making a podcast while wearing tefilin? I was taught we only wear tefilin during the weekday morning prayer service (Shacharit). (Or -- if for some reason we missed Shacharit -- one could/should perform the tefilin commandment at some other time during the day.) But at other times/places? Like a RU-vid video? I mean,,,,tefilin are not a fashion accessory. Or a television production prop. They are sacred prayer objects -- utilized for purposes of prayer. Is there not some rule or halacha that would disfavor or prohibit wearing tefilin for a video appearance -- other perhaps than for instructional/educational purposes? Am I missing something here?
