Had the seniors for 3 years was feeding a lil boujie and wanted to upgrade to style craft or gamma something flashier but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it thanks for giving me more confirmation to keep the seniors God bless!
@@thelifeofbam6678 can you answer something for me.. what is the difference between premium barber clippers vs some clippers from wahl from Walmart. I've been cutting my hair for 15 years and I'm pretty good . I'm thinking about buying a pair of babilys clippers but idky it's worth it.
Great review brother. Can I suggest that you turn your phone to landscape mode. (sideways). You will have more screen real-estate to work with. Keep it going man!!
Thanks, this review really helps! Although, I’d like to know, does the Wahl Seniors get too hot while being used? Because I’ve heard some rumors of them overheating while being used. I’d like to know your thoughts about that since you actually own a Wahl Senior
Thanks for the overview on the Wahl and Babyliss .My new Wahl Magic Clips are coming tomorrow....in your pro opinion do think it is necessary for me to zero them? ( I will be using them to trim my beard and shave my head)
If you look at the tension prongs after blade removal on the Babyliss, and they have a kink like the fx880's, then if you do what i did and use a couple of pairs of pliers to straighten the kink out, then when you replace the blades, the cutting blade will be pushed closer to the edge of the still blade
Just subbed to your channel bro. I'm listing in and hooked on who's gonna win 👍 PS. After watching cordless seniors.. expensive now. I'm sad that they limited.
Please purchase clippers with guards because you will definitely need them unless you want to plug yourself all the time and have patches everywhere.....If you're cutting bald heads you won't need guards...
was thinking to get the babyliss today, ive been using wahl cord n cordless so i wna try to change other brand even tho i like wahl eversince..after this video ill jst upgrade my magic clip to senior
I have the newest version of the profx which is easily zero gapped. In fact the zero gap is the most precise I've come across. The older pro FX cannot be zero gapped. I also have the Wahl 1919s senior and even with though I put the ceramic blade on there it's louder than my profx. In fact my profx is pretty quiet. Though it's more quiet since I out a Wahl fade blade on it
I just got started with clippers since I'm doing my own hair cutting due to the social distancing guide lines here in California which prevent barber shops from being open for business. I now have two clippers and one trimmer. They were all noisy when I first got them and one of them needed to have the clipper head adjusted. I noticed that the motor itself was quiet and after adjusting the clipper head the machine itself was quiet or at least much quieter. I adjusted the heads on the other two machines and they run much quieter. Your Babyliss Gold FX might benefit from removing the head examining it, making corrections and reinstalling it. I mean the way it is right now is pretty noisy. Please don't take offense. It's just a suggestion.
@@subreme9351 I can't say. Both clippers do a good job but the Wahl Color Pro is lighter. The other clipper is the Kemei 1986 and it has a 2500 ma motor and I think the Wahl Color Pro is 2000 ma but both work fine. You can check the specs on their respective websites or go to Amazon and find out there.
the wahls are way louder than the babyliss inowm some rose gold babyliss clippers and they are very quiet the only thing I say the wahls got better is they are more powerful in a fast way and got good hand grip thats about it the babyliss are the best for fading in my opinion and are very quiet but have a slow start when turned on
It depends on what hair textures Are you cutting the seniors are Awesome on African American Textures.....The Babyliss are great On Mexican/Whites heads I honestly Say it depends on the clientele heads /races you cut the most great review!
I tried out my friends today on African American hair today and it was like butta. It was a 1/2 all around, but I do have the wahl seniors and I love them. It is a tough choice I'm in a pickle, any advice?
How do you compare them when the wahl doesn't come with those blades originally? And I seen a tutorial on zero gapping those gold ones....and ergonomics...it just takes a sec to get used to babyliss. And they have a Ferrari engine.....plus they are corded and cordless and dont lose power when the battery runs low and has an led indicator light.
@@FezzyG23 It basically means the motors don't have brushes inside, instead they use magnets to spin the motor. So they don't heat up as much, you get more torque and overall they last a lot longer vs brushed motors.
Kevin Umanzor Wahl seniors never get hot. I know you wanted to let him know what he missed but incase you didn't know. Battery life if about 70 min or 3 cuts around there. Also wahls seniors run the exact same as a full charge on a low battery and cut off when battery is dead. Thats a huge plus. They run exactly the same speed on low battery vs fully charge.
@@joshuaespinoza2567 so do the babyliss it never looses power when it low battery.... and that babyliss actually came out with a stock cutting blade that's better then the ceramic
The Babyliss is a good clipper but it´s more a fancy, apple lifestyle clipper and that is why you and other like it. The Whal is the much better clipper. It´s not as loud as the FX. You can zero gap it. It´s more ergonomic. It´s more powerful. It´s much cheaper.
San Diego Oh ok. I was thinking about guards when it came to taking my beard down to where I want it. For that sort of thing. I love the idea of a trimmer for lining up my beard but I couldnt find one with guards.
@@BobaDavis yes there is. Ceramic is much much sharper. Look it up. But I still think I'd rather the stock Wahl senior and babyliss fx trimmers. Babyliss trimmers are that heat. Way better than anything Wahl put out trimmer wise
@j0k3r sxarred Sharper, who told you that? If it took you 30 minutes to do a cut before, it still takes 30 minutes to do a cut. The only thing that matters is the motor type, blade speed and torque.
