Yes, it is. It is my fourth most favorite American fighter of WW2. In order, my top five favorite American WW2 fighters are P-47, F6F, F4U, P-51, and P-38. I think the P-47 is one of the most underrated fighters from that era and the Navy fighters didn't get the press they deserved. The American pilot with the most kills in history flew the P-38.
