Actually just got my eco like a month ago and have added many mods including the Flowmaster outlaw because of this guy! I can tell y’all right now, it sounds sooo much better in real life, the camera mic can’t pick up the exact sounds but it’s an awesome exhaust. It’s quiet when you need it to be and it’s pretty damn loud from the outside when you floor it. This exhaust sounds AMAZING for an ecoboost. The first time I heard it when I finished installing it was awesome. Cant put it into words, it’s remarkable for an ecoboost. It sounds better than a stock 5.0 obviously and has its own tone which is awesome. The install isn’t hard. Just make sure you have another person to help and make sure you have some jacks to pick the car up a bit (2 hour process for me). And I also have a dual port BOV by turbosmart and whenever you rev it loud, you get that awesome turbo sneeze after it. Anyways, idk if this comment will help anyone but I can tell you right now. I want to upgrade the exhaust on my 2021 eco but since it’s a convertible I’m having trouble finding any options. From what research I’ve done the cat back won’t work with the frame of a convertible so the only option is an axle. However, one that has an active exhaust for the eco convertible seems to not exist. They only make one for the GT. Anybody have any suggestions?
The MBRP race cat back has the smoothest, deepest sound you can get without any rasp or cabin drone/rattle. Some people like rasp but on a 4 banger it kinda sounds like a kazoo and i wanted to stay as far away from that as possible lmao. My tuner also said that the MBRP race exhaust with a 3 inch down pipe was just about the best performer after upgrading your turbo as well so basically a win win.

Just got myself axle back after watching ur videos! Out here in California they a little strict on aftermarket exhaust so axle back is loud enough. Enough sound but not to loud to catch attention from cops

Hey man, really appreciate the video - One thing I notice that NO ONE has done is put their car into Sports Mode+ While using their exhaust system; would you mind making a video showing that off? Sports Mode+ makes the car much louder by opening up the butterfly valve on top of increasing it's performance/handling, and I'd be curious to hear the 2 combined for that gorgeous tone if you haven't already done so in your videos! Hey thanks! Thank you for watching! So this car doesn’t have the active exhaust set up so sport plus, track, etc do not change the tone of the exhaust. All they do on my car is adjust throttle response, steering weight and shift points. But in sport plus and track the car holds gears longer so when letting off throttle at 4K rpm it will pop a bit unlike in normal mode 🙂
Sounds good man! Yeah there are some slight cabin vibration/sounds with this setup. Haven’t heard the mbrp race in car so can’t comment on that, however I’m thinking any aggressive exhaust with res delete will have some sort of unwanted interior sound someplace is the rpm range.
Nice! I got this and a tune on my 19 eco boost. It’s crazy what just an exhaust and tune do. I’ve beaten like 7 5.0s with just a tune and mufflers. I raced a Shelby too and beat it. Not as much as a 5.0 but I came out on top. Love it!
Actually sounds pretty good for what it is!! I’m a fusion owner currently and I’ve been debating on either upgrading to a GT or ecoboost mustang. It’s like I’m trying to figure out if I want to do a gradual ungrade to an ecoboost first, since in a way the ecoboost is like a starter mustang or just go balls to the wall and get the GT. Still have yet to figure out what I wanna do.
Do you have the factory Downpipe? I just got the scavenger y-pipe and outlaw axle back installed... PLUS a CVF 3" high flow Downpipe. Check out my quick video of it on my channel 😊 I love it!
@@daily_driven oh dang! I bet getting high flow Downpipe on that would do amazing things for power! If you do happen to go with the CVF Downpipe know that it will require some welding cuz it doesn't quite match up to the y-pipe from what I understand from the exhaust shop I used. I'd be curious to know how much power you'd get from opening up that air flow leaving the turbo.
@@narmen1984 Yeah that’s what I thought as well! I spoke with Ryan at PD tuning and he said that a downpipe doesn’t do much for the stock turbo cars. Once you go NX2 or larger is when you see the big power changes with a larger downpipe. But who knows lol might need to do it in the future.

Hey Thanks I appreciate that! Honestly nothing to special, I like to wash the car with a pressure washer /foam Cannon and have been using chemical guys extreme soap and just tried out griots garage best of show wax and it’s awesome! Highly recommend! Congrats on the new ride!
Not sure how much Hp gained with the y pipe. Probably not much if any but it is much lighter. Can’t do an x pipe in these ecoboost since its a 4 cylinder. Thanks for watching!
