Rev Match in the 2019 mustang GT is the reason I picked the 19 over the 2018. Its so addicting and satisfying!
Welcome back! Today we Discuss the amazing feature found in the 2019 Mustang gt, Rev Match! Ill tell you what it is, what it does, and why its awesome! Its definitely one if my favorite things about my car and takes the experience of driving this car to another level!

I've always been a heel and toe guy but this is definitely a much needed feature on the Coyote V8 since the engine rpms are lazy when blipping the throttle manually.

I’m getting a manual camaro soon and I’m so glad they have this feature. I’m new to manual but I have a friend that let me practice on his 5.0 and I caught on fast af. It was fun as hell. I think the rev matching is a really neat feature that not only makes manual more fun but easy for beginners like myself

This is soo sick man. I had an 04' anniversary GT, 5speed manual. I loved it, but it sure got cumbersome to heel-toe that very manual gearbox. This would be extremely nice. I'm debating paying cash for a 19' might even spurge for a 21 if I can find one for a close price.

You have explained this in a way that no one could. I was looking to see WHEN the rev happens and you were detailed in mentioning: Clutch In -> Put into lower Gear -> then the Rev happens.

I'm about to get a 2017 GT350 and it doesn't have this obviously, I've been looking at a few auto blip modules but man thank you for making this video. I've driven my mrs GT once and the rev matching was the most memorable experience of it all, it's so damn sleek and smooth. I doubt i'll go for an aftermarket module because as you've pointed out in this video, the OEM one will change the revs depending on what gear you move the knob into, and it's a different rev range every gear, no aftermarket one even comes close. Such a shame :(

about heel n' toe, i find it easier to do it with cars that has cable TB than ETB, also the cars with ETB has a weird accelerator pedal compared to the ones with cable, on my 2011 stang i can easily Heel n'toe no issue whatsoever, when i try to do the same in my 370z i find it bit challenging to do since the pedal is placed lower and further back than the brake pedals

So.... I test drove a 2019 mustang gt pp1 6mt and didn't know it had this feature until I started driving. Amazing. The Camaro SS has had this since 2016, the Corvette since 2015, and the 370z since 2013.... Awesome feature for people who like to make a scene. Like me 😍👍🏿👍🏿🔊

So, I'm just trying to learn about rev matching. I don't know anything about it... I've driven manuals and ridden bikes and they always revved up when I down shifted, without me doing anything, so I'm trying figure out how is this different exactly?

My corvette tells you to shift from 1st to 4th gear with a light on dash, when your not accelerating hard. For better gas mileage

I have it. Honestly the rev match feature is only good for perfect downshifts and turns. Its not good for racing. It takes a good minute for the rpms to go down, (even when stabbing the clutch), which makes it difficult to upshift fast at high speeds.. So if street racing, turn the feature off! But regular spirited driving, highway cruising, and city driving.. this feature is a must have!

Now do u need to touch the brake for this to work? I know you said when shifting, but I see some aftermarket modules like Auto Blip that work only when pressing the clutch and the brake.

@Teflon 5.0: Does it hold RPM when upshifting? Example: Let's say I am in 2nd gear @ 40mph and I want to upshift to 3rd. When you push in the clutch and hold it in, will the RPM's drop to idle RPM when performing the upshift? Or will the car automatically be at the correct RPM when the clutch is let out in 3rd gear @ 40mph? Basically, does the car automatially rev match upshifts in addition to downshifts? Thank you!

Not sure I can give a “technically” correct answer, but from what I can tell the RPMs hold for just a second until you let the clutch out in the next gear. I haven’t held the clutch in to see how far the RPMs will fall so I’m not sure I can totally answer the question. It will hold long enough to smoothly get into the next gear though. Hope that makes sense!

Release the clutch slower when downshifting with ARM, it'll get rid of the jerk. It's the same as when you do it manually, don't just dump the clutch.

Some day I'll get another mustang. Years ago I would only consider a manual. I hated muscle cars with autos. Now I'm stuck deciding between the 6 speed and 10auto. My gut says 6 speed but someday I might supercharge it so auto is the way to go.

Yes it does, premium comes with the dash, headed and cooled leather seats, more leather wrapped stuff, lighting features, navigation, etc

@@DaSNoble very nice! Congrats. I bought a new ‘22 Gt a couple weeks ago and it’s got the premium and performance packs, including the active exhaust and it’s cool, but I considered cutting it off for a full exhaust anyway so don’t look at that as a negative. Enjoy🤘🏼

It’s eventually becomes muscle memory and you don’t even have to think about doing it, you just do it. Get what you really want! I daily drive mine, although I wouldn’t consider the majority of my driving in the “city”

I get it, I drive a truck with a non synchronized Eaton Fuller transmission at work. Rev matching isn’t something that’s particularly fun anymore. It still has its novelty when I ride my GSXS but not when I drive. But to each their own.
