@@TexasFamilyCamping Port A is my favorite. I go multiple times per year and even spent like 6 months there half assed homeless in my early 20’s when I was stubborn. The new palladium apartment complex next to the Hampton has affordable rates surprisingly. I was told $915 for a 3 bedroom. So tempting to sell the house in Burnet County… lol have goose island state park in Rock Port booked for 4th of July. Crabbing and fireworks!
Great video ya'll. Pretty cool drone shots of the water and the island. Ya'll are doing some pretty cool places and it's cool that you're exploring the water as much as you are. We agree that those campgrounds leave much to be desired, but like you said, you're there for the beach. Didn't know they had ferry service down there too, that's cool. I can tell you're really getting the hang of that drone, the quality was really good. Nicely done!
After watching your last video, I will say, I'm with you, prefer mountains over beaches. But I'm greatly outnumbered, all the ladies in my house love the beach, so I have to make a concerted effort to get them there, and find ways to deal with my discomfort, so as to not ruin their day. Love the beach so much. About 15 years ago we took the ferry to Port Aransas. That was fun. The kids were little then and they got a big kick out of it. We didn't camp then, so just spent the day there. We enjoyed it.
Definitely enjoyed the video. great beach sites; but, yeah side /side would be bit of downer. Been LONG TIME , being on beach that area. Have rode ferry on past occasions. Beautiful Drone pics. Thanks.
We camped there in December of last year. The nice part about being there in the winter was there was hardly anyone there. I think the bathrooms were the nicest part of the campground. The only thing about taking a shower in 40 degree weather is it was open aired. I about froze my tush off. Nice video. It was cool to see it in summer. ~Lucy

Here is one of my favorite RU-vid families having a great time. Great island music to go with this one. Very cool to be able to camp right on the water like that. I would love it. Having that 50 amp hookup would be perfect. Looks like a cool place. I agree on the site after you showed them. I would rather use solar and dry camp. Never did a ferry like that with the car. That would be a blast. That water is looking nice and relaxing. Thanks for the tour y'all.
Great drone footage. I would stay there for sure. I liked the showers and bathrooms and is close to the beach, but not on it. I love that is wasn't crowded. Nice video my friend. I know I want to go there now. ❤️👍👏 Donovan & Jodi
I would say the upside to the lockdown situation, is that they've been keeping state parks to about 50% occupancy, and that's nice. When's your next footage from your drone coming out, can't wait to see it.

I actually didn't take it on the sand. I was worried about it from the get go, but there was a tropical storm out there, and the guy at the gate just said, "between you and me, today isn't the day." And sure enough, the next morning most of the people that had driven out there for the night were stuck.
It was an option, but it was such a short ride, and it was our first time, so we were a bit..... well we didn't know what we were doing, LOL. Next time we do that we will get out.
I am going there soon, do I need special permission to fly drone right at beach? Did you have any issue with the crew at beach to fly the drone. Please help me and let me know, thanks.
I've heard you aren't supposed to. I didn't see any signs that said no drones. I took off from the beach parking lot and flew around the area. I was careful to not be annoying or dangerous with the drone.
