These Original No-drill MRT hood struts eliminate the factory hood prop rod and give you the clean, pleasing appearance every engine compartment deserves. They are designed to function with the OE weighted hood and are available pre-painted in many of the factory Ford colors.
Installation requires NO holes to be drilled anywhere; the hood struts attach using OEM factory attachment points for a direct bolt-on installation. The struts are universal, but the brackets are side specific, so keep this in mind during installation.
With a 10mm wrench, remove the fender bolt, put the bracket in place and re-secure the bolt. Then, remove the upper hood bolt and loosen the lower hood bolt, put the bracket in place, and re-secure both bolts. Install the strut itself on the bracket,and then repeat the process on the other side. Total installation takes up to twenty minutes.
