‼ NEVER DO THIS ‼ Horses should never go at a fast pace like this on concrete, especially on roads. They could break their legs, fall and get serious injuries from the hard surfaces or rocks. *Horse shoes* Yes - horse shoes help with not wearing down the hoof as much but it doesn't stop the vibrations and force exerted between joints from galloping/trotting/pacing on a hard surface, which isn't natural to any horse. *The road* Not only being on the concrete like this is harmful, also that cars move around here. - They can inhale the fumes of the cars and choke, causing in major slow down + possible tripping, injury to lungs, and breaking. - The horses can obviously spook at the cars and cause themself injury that way. Don't even try to fight with me about this: no horse is always fully bomb proof and horses can and will spook. It's not bad behaviour, It's natural and YOU (the rider) are supposed to deal with it. THE CARS ARE SO NEAR THE HORSES TOO. If they'd trip, they'd possibly fall and the horses would be just driven over since the cars are following at a pace same as theirs. Like holy hell how can people be this stupid.
The dose makes the venon!Horses are animals from the steppe and savannah,they get better along with hard ground than too soft ground.Tal or big horses do have some trouble with too hard ground because of the unnatural size and weight of them.The lighter breeds up to 1.60m can trot and canter many thousands kilometers on hard ground until they get any kind of problems.Trotters normely aren`t much bigger than 1.60m. To know when to work on hards ground and when on soft is just the stuff that makes a trainer... Yes but these aren't wild horses..they are domesticated their bodies, legs and hooves can't cope with the stress like wild horses.....enjoying their horses?? Oh yeah and when they are no use anymore they dump them like trash at the side of the road..open your eyes and try watching videos that don't sugar coat these scumbags.....
I drove past one of these races yesterday on the way to Limerick....Although i could think of worst things,,,you would have to wonder if it is hard on the horses legs,,,then there is the danger of an accident aswell..
@@johnsherred5748 actually they can...trotting horses are raced on sand tracks NOT tarmac roads genius......NO horse should be subject to this torture on their legs,they can split their hooves,tear tendons or even brake bones....but they don't give a shit because the horses are expendable and when they get injured they just leave them at the side of the road like garbage.i saw a Facebook video recently of another one of these races and the horse went over the central reservation...probably broke both its front legs but never mind because it's their sport...I hate every single last gypsy on this earth,they are scum that need eradicating.

Not Really :/ It Helps There Joints, But It Can Ruin Them...As Long As The Put Ice packs On The Legs For A Few Hours Or So They Would Be Fine....And It Helps the Horse Get Ready For The Race A Head...You Wouldn't Do That If Your Weren't Training For A Trottin' Race, I Did That For My Mare Once But It Wasn't on A Motor Way, My Yard Owner Told Me to Because She Was Week And Wasn't Ready For What I Had Entered In, So I Trotted Her On A Road For 15-30mins She Was Strong After A Week >.
Agreed, some good trotting on firmer ground can strenghten a horses joints. Racing like in the video however, fuck no. That shit does alot of damage. I'm glad you only trotted for 15-30 minutes.
This has to be illegal. I’m a 65 yr old experienced horse woman and working a horse that hard on concrete is not only bad for the horses legs but for Gods Sake the metal shoes are red hot!!!!!!!! GAWD MEN CAN BE SO STUPID :0. I think God is telling us to get our act together and STOP ABUSING ANIMALS!!! Especially when it comes to in humane farming for food.
I have seen how these horses are treated and I tell u its better than what humans get treated.. Best of food minerals and they probably get washed and groomed more than humans do!!!!!!!!!
Bad treatment is overshadowed by high quality food and what not. Horses are still treated like shit. Beat, pushed over their limints, trained too young and in some cases drugged. Even if they live in a golden stal and get the best quality food and brushes. The horse doesn't really care. I can tell you those golden stal horses would be ten times happier in a field with other horses, with an owner who doesn't beat them or pushes them so far they collapse. Splints- bruised frogs- chance of slipping is huge, a fall would be potentially fatal or with many injuries. The concussion on the lower leg bones is all wrong, you should never do this, especially for this length of time.
Keep on dreaming, idiot. This is very bad for the joints and muscles. They only die horses hei wolf end up with the butcher anyway. Because after these races, can't even been used for ponyrides. Muscles, joints and back are to injured for horsebackriding ever again.
