@@rmbrown717 Historically most people who are pro-white have been anti-every other race. The mentality of a lot of pro-white people have changed but a lot of other races have historically been disenfranchised by white people through slavery, colonialism and other forms of oppression. I'm not saying you are responsible but to hear a person say they are pro-white is not the same.

@@rmbrown717 Yeah, slavery is old and unfortunately trans-Atlantic slavery is the most recent. Not only does the mainstream media remind us of it but we still live in an oppressive society. I think Black people and majority of White people want to forget slavery but our society through it's actions will not allow us. In the end, I hope love wins and we can all understand things from each other's point of view. Blessed love.

I have to be honest, I don't follow Mutabaruka, but I have to say that in this video he says the right things. He makes a fair distinction between racism and prejudice, and moreover he says that Rastafari is a movement for all the people of the world and it must spread to all continents and all 4 corners of the earth because Rastafari is peace and love, and if everyone peoples embrace rastafari (as is happening) there will indeed be more peace and more love.

When Tony asked about black people who consider themselves superior to whites, I feel Muta side-stepped the question, pivoting to a definition of racism as relating to power. While this is truth, it avoided responding directly to the question with regards to Selassie's words "until the philosophy that holds one race superior..." Selassie spoke of the mentality, and war against that mentality. The wielding of power over another springs forth from the mentality of superiority. A great interview.

Very interesting & poignant clarification between racism & prejudice. Growing, I used the hear the amalgamated term; racial-prejudice. This term foreshadowed the (now) all encompassing use of the word racist, thus watering down the effects as the specificity of was lost.

The great Mutabaruka's opinion on racism reflects a narrow view of the broader racism. Mutabaruka is talking about systematic racism; which is a subset of the greater racism. The notion that blacks or non-whites can't be racist is asinine. Racism is prejudice that is predicated on race--period.

@rastafarieldersteachings5674
@rastafarieldersteachings5674 3 года назад
Nobody wants to join at the moment for these things. Rastafari is not based on skin color, Rastafari is based on the divine identification of Haile Selassie. Rastafari is for all nations, all continents and all peoples. Then dreadlocks are a biblical vow that anyone can do even if it is not rastafari, moreover reggae is not rastafari, they are two different things, and you do not necessarily have to be rasta to smoke weed many rastas hate the use of such weed. Rastafari is peace and unity among all nations and the elders went to great lengths to spread this message that Haile Selassie passed on to us. So stop writing untruths about our movement. Since you're talking this bullshit I'd say you're the one who doesn't know what rastafari is. Moreover, among the current Rasta and wiser Rasta elders many are of "mixed" or "white" skin. So go to study what is rastafari and go to study the Haile Selassie and elders teachings. IMPOSTOR.

I would say that nothing is missing, the only thing missing here is a Rastafari education. Rastafari is for all nations, for all continents and for all peoples from the very beginning, exactly as Mutabaruka says. Rastafari is and always continues to spread more among all peoples, and this is positive because Rastafari is love and peace, and in this way the world will have more peace ans love. Rastafari is a mystical movement for all nations, all continents and all peoples.

@@Nzambi_ Man you confuse Rastafari with Marcus Garvey's U.N.I.A. (Mutabaruka follows both). I think Mutabaruka is also quite clear in this video, but on top of that I think Haile Selassie's teachers and the teachings of the legendary elders are quite widespread. It is sad to see that you believe in the propaganda of the 1930/1940.

It is extremely disconcerting to hear ones proclaim that one can be a follower of Rastafari without regarding the knowledge, instruction and wisdom of the written Word of Jah/Yah/God. RE: The some "Rastafarians" who do not read the bible or scriptures. "In the beginning was the word and the word was with Yah and the word was Yah." To reject or downplay the significance of the Word of Yah being Yah himself is to reject or downplay the significance of the True Black Power. Also how can one know how to follow and please the Most High Rastafari without receiving that divine knowledge from the only one who has true knowledge. "No man can come to the Father except by the Son." A lesser point to be touched on is the idea of identifying the I as anything other than Rastafari, such as "Rastas", "Rastafarians", etc. There is one Rastafari with one body, consisting of all the faithful, and one head, being the Holy Power of the Trinity. This is the basis for unity in Rastafari. To then go and identify the I as a "Rastafarian(s)" implying multiples, outside of the true power is not in line with the sacred and holy teachings. "Rastas" is like broken street talk. Broken because Rastafari is two words Ras meaning head and Tafari meaning to be feared, to be revered. After a quick search "Rastas" is two words, Ras meaning head and Tas meaning a heap or tassels. Clearly this is a different meaning than Rastafari. To be one in Rastafari is to be one in the Most High Yah.
@jemts5586
@jemts5586 Год назад
The Trinity is three gods, not one. Besides all those Bible stories are Semitic people history, not Jamaican or our African ancestors in the Caribbean. They in turn come from Babylonian/Sumerian etc, culture. We should look to our own ancestral spiritualies, not waste our time with this spinoff of European version of Semitic religion.
