The black panel is from the company MagPie. Here’s the link: store.magpiemodular.com/collections/mutable-instruments/products/murdered-out-warps-custom-panel As far as the knob, I think I found on Aliexpress. I can search for it if you’re interested!
@@Nematomusic Yeah man, that big knob really sets it off. I am pretty into customizing my modules tbh. Didn't even think to look on Aliexpress for knobs!
Cool same here! These are the ones! m.aliexpress.com/item/32814912501.html?pid=808_0000_0101&spm=a2g0n.search-amp.list.32814912501&aff_trace_key=&aff_platform=msite&m_page_id=1131amp-Yqwu2pdRN7ywf-b5JX9rlQ1591754828584&browser_id=8c754f3c6946489d9e32f305374ddee6&is_c=Y
I guess it depends what mixer you’re comparing it too. The Warps has different FX built in with its own oscillator, so it can function more ways than say a simple 4 channel mono mixer. However it only has two inputs, so it just depends what you’re after really!
Tough to say. It’s an affordable option for wavefolding and signal overdrive without taking up much space, but there are definitely other, newer options too!
I think the uFold from Intellijel is an interesting option with a single channel for wavefolding. Probably more comparable to the Warps would be modules like the Bastl Instruments Waver, Noise Engineering Pura Ruina, or the Fold Processor from TipTop Audio. The Bastl Waver is probably the closest from my experience. Seems like lots of companies are making unique versions of waveshapers to help expand the possible sounds of oscillators in a system. Just depends on the sound you like!
@@Nematomusic Hey! Yeah, these are some of the options I've been considering. I've also looked at the Bifold from Intellijel, plus the Chopping Kinky from Befaco, also the Timbre from Bastl. I hadn't considered the Pura Ruina though. I'll go and take a listen! The Waver does sound interesting too. Thanks for these suggestions! Chris
No but I’ve been told good things about it and may switch soon for some new inspiration with the module. Also considering some of the other wavefolders available now!
