Mutated Expedition Guide for New World Expansion!

A really solid guide to mutations, thanks! RE Resistances and gems: For M2 at least, if you want to avoid needing to entirely replace all your gems every time you switch to a new mutation type, you can get away with simply having four different amulets, one for each resistance type (flame protection, void protection, frozen protection and nature protection) and obviously slotted with a cut pristine gem corresponding to that resistance type (and health as the other perk is essential - anything else on top is a bonus and not required). You then only need to slot _opals_ into all your other gear. This gives you 40% resistance (and also 15% resistance to all other elemental damage besides, which may still be useful in defence of part of the other 50% damage all mobs do - it's not always physical damage). Just to make it clear, resistances cap at 50% anyway, so the demonstrated 56% is actually _sub-optimal_ and one gem is wasted. This setup means you only need to swap one item and never swap any gems at all, saving you a lot of gold and/or time. In practice, this will be less optimal for M3s and that additional 10% resistance may be required for some players but you can then simply swap out one or two gems in your ring or necklace (if they're not crafted and can be hot-swapped; making said trinkets is very easy to achieve via the new gypsum kiln crafting system, by the way). _At the very least,_ you can swap the two gems anyway, giving the additional 12% to cap you fully. This also means you can invest in using runeglass for additional damage for M3 and still obtain 42% resistance (this will be my ultimate end goal for my DPS builds, when I finally get to them - I'm healing now so I just use full opals). This would require only two gems swapping every time you switch (the two trinkets). Or, if you absolutely must get as close to that full 50% cap as possible, just pick one more armour item to hot-swap and keep the rest opals. There's more flexibility to this system than a lot of players give credit. And if someone refuses you entry to their lobby on the basis that you've only got 40% resistance to the mutation then you're probably better steering clear of players like that and just making your own lobby. In my experience, failed runs don't happen because someone was missing 10% fire resistance and players who are overly judgemental/picky about min-maxing are just as likely to be the guys running 5 con and lying on the floor more often than not anyway. Skill, awareness, understanding the mutation and playing well as a team (i.e. not pulling everything as said 5 con DPS and letting the tank lead) is way more important than saving 5% damage (it's only 5% as it's 10% of 50%).

very useful like always 👍🏻 wish they make Savage Divide 2 or even 3 weeks as mutations because it's so much to do in the first few days like doing mount quest, doing Elysian quest, leveling Flail, trying crafting and leveling trade skills, and worst part : finding 695+ gears all slot so we can run M3 difficulty.

Im new to this game but i like that there is a requirement. Getting into a m+ dungeon in wow for example that your under geared for and unprepared for makes it miserable for everyone and the more experienced players just leave group.

The ultimate combat, gathering, and crafting trophies are VERY expensive, but a great way to cover all your bases easily without having to keep swapping out trophies for each type of content you are doing.

does the ultimate combat trophy stack with the other specific combat trophies?

I have a little question about the golden steel storage chest. As i learned you need a recipe for crafting this chest. Do you need a recipe for every chest or do you need it just once? And how do you get one of those? I'm a new/old player from the first days and started last weekend without knowing that there will be a huge update. I think there aren't any good guids for this or maybe too old, so maybe it's not current anymore. I hope someone can give me a discription on how it is done. Thanks

One question if the mutated expedition does damage to you in void does that mean they are resistant to void as well

The cost of pristine gems is going to skyrocket with the the new runic stones costing 5 pristine dust each which is 15 pristine gems per block. The idea of replacing gems for each dungeon might need to go away.

Amazing video as always. One thing I wanted to check. What is the benefit to mutated dungeons? Is it better loot, named items, higher gs drops? Might be quite obvious but I cannot actually find any information about what you benefit from doing higher level mutations.

Hey Baggins, a healer question for you. How can a healer get pvp loot boxes in the open world as healers can't kill anyone (unless lucky)?

Btw how do you farm that many gems? I am a returning player and I remember that everytime you switch gems it gets replaced but it doesnt give it back. So do I need to have stonecutting and that stuff to be able to create the gems myself? 8:45

if i go to mutated dungeon Elite, where is 3 mutations, i need to put gems only for 1st mutation? for others i cant do this or no needed? Kinda dont understand what to do against other mutations..

Do all enemies hit 100% physical damage unless mutated? Then it changes to 50/50 physical and mutated element? If so, can you just protect physical for everything?

Might of missed it, but didnt hear anything about rewards, about why you'd do Mutated over other content. If there's not a reward, no dopamine rush, meaning end game will be dead after someones done each one after Mutated 3 of each dungeon just knowing you've done them once is basically good enough. If they dont have any they really need to make each mutated dungeon drop the gear at an increased Gear score. Maybe like 10 GS for each Mutation level. So up to 730, and drop items to upgrade artifacts to set level depending on the mutated level.

I'd like to just play the game. I get off work and try to get on and there is a queue of over 3000 ppl. I let it sit there a few hours then gotta go to bed because I gotta work in the morning. Got the expansion and now on day 3 where I can't play. Can't change servers cuz I gotta log in to do so.

i don't like that u need to pay so u can lvl up to 65. and the community is really small for this type of game and with this new update i think less people will play it it unfair
