I played a lot at the start. The worst thing I experienced was when they bugged loot drops and only common loot dropped for a long time before they fix it. Besides that it was a cool game to play with friends but eventually we as a group moved on with less time for grindy games. About a year or so later we thought it might be cool to go back and try it out again but with all the server condensing we were just in a bad ping spot and every server close to us had honorific ping issues and eventually it became a dead game to us. I will say a very funny moment was trying to grind the higher levels of animal pelts when you just couldn't get them or make them leading me to skin things for 5 hours then for the 2 hours skinning things that wouldn't drop pelts so I could reassure my friends that chickens, turkeys, alligators, and monsters don't drop rare pelts.
Game is dead because of the team working on it. It’s sad they dropped such a huge opportunity in the mmo world. Everything they record themselves saying they have failed miserably at. My personal favorite, “We are going to slow production to make sure content isn’t buggy as the gamers have requested”. They then proceed to drop the most bugged expansion in mmo history.
All the new content is going to be for console only lol. Yall are going to have to rebuy the game to enjoy it. It's worked before with the dlc and it'll work again lol. I'll just keep running around and farming my motes
I think raids in MMO's are outdated. They need to think outside the box when it comes to end game content. Some people like exploration, some people like to collect cosmetics, others like challenging content, others PVP. The world is not big enough and doesn't feel dangerous or rewarding to encourage exploration. The expeditions are nice, but they are repetitive and mutations are just a chore at this point. Why not create timed events in open world with a very small chance to drop rare items, not gear, but cosmetics. Expand the housing system, make it instanced and more complex so you can actually customize it with the rare items you find while exploring or doing events Why do we not have a cross server ranked Arena system ? Why are old resources left to rot instead of adding them as requirement for existing items so they remain relevant in the economy ? Why don't we get new mechanics with every new expansion like boats, harpoon fishing, secret areas, secret bosses, jumping puzzles...why is the world so small... Why not focus on linear progress instead of vertical progress so players can actually come back without the "fear of getting behind"? Also, whoever came with the idea of a battle pass instead of creating better cosmetics is an idiot...no offence
The first round of fresh start servers were a good idea, if only they had a finished game....getting fresh start servers at this point is just showing disrespect towards their players. Fix the bugs, lag and make the skills/perks work as intended....then you can think about fresh start servers. Honestly, if they release fresh start servers at this point they might as well say "thank you for testing the game in these past couple of years, we've learned nothing"
Great! Ty for the video. But this game is so ridiculously complicated and confusing when it comes to this stuff...and to do WHAT? 1 RAID? THERES 1 RAID. Do I got this right? and I have NEVER seen an opportunity to join it. Otherwise there are 3 "mutated" dungeons at any given time. Lots of world bosses that you steam roll with a raid partys with zero challenge. I've been 65 for 1 month. Never got a drop that was better than what i already bought at the trader. I have 3 artifacts but not for the class i play. Ive done myrks and world tours and dont really get shit. What is the point? Grind the same shit for 2 months saving dark matter and orbs so i can upgrade 1 single perk? Im so lost and ready to give up.
The problem was the expansion, for example, most of the players in my clan didnt want to buy such an expensive expansion. And, if you didn't buy it, you practically couldn't play, cuz it didn't allow you to level up or upgrade your items gear score.
Megaservers and more ACTUAL content, with about 70k bug fixes, EVERYTHING else.... whaste of time..... obv. Some important things left out... but seriously, swimming is the answer to get the player base back? Patterns, emotes, artifacts, really!?
They really are failing hard there's a lot I really like about new world but Lately I've been watching the steam charts and It really is bleeding players

all this kiln orb crap and crafting im general is soooo GD complicated, they forgot to create content to actually get stuff. biggest let down mmo ever. I have no idea what to do with all these orbs, materia and 6000 other piles of shit in the shed which I can barely access because sheds are atill completely bugged MONTHS later.
I feel stupid...like how the hell did the first group of players manage to figure all this out. I get that this will become easier the more you work with it, but at first glance it's extremely overwhelming. Thanks for the great video👌🏻
I honestly miss New World so much. They've slapped me across the face, and then kicked me when I was down. I was banned off discord last expansion because I expressed the dire need to unlock the worlds and provide free transfers for returning players. It's so sad to see what it has become. I am still holding onto a thread that it may get better. it's so sad.
Why are people still playing this game... Amazon have been trolling players for months and months with a lack of content. I purely watch these vids to help support Baggins... Dude move on to another game and we'll support you no matter what mate.

This game is so slow to patch, everytime I go to play it starts and by the time it's done I've haven't time to play. I was prepared to give it another go and TBH it's such a nuisance every time I gave up.
Love how the added content to the game isnt to "the game", its to stuff thats unlocked via your wallet. NOT by playing. And THATS why i refuse to buy the game or even attempt to play it. Im watching reiews and stuff and yeah. Thats a major turn away. I want new skins and stuff added that can be EARNED IN GAME, not earned via my fucking pocketbook 😂 what a worthless looking game. From the dead playerbase to the trash content to the recycled pvp arena. It looks like shit and it definitely wont get my dollar or any of my friends haha 🎉
They want a feature complete game with smooth animations and a solid story to give it "legs" when the actual game releases, along with console. Bless yall for keeping the game alive for the last 3 years during early access.
You can literally see on their face that they have no passion for the game what so ever. They made this video cuz they had to, forced a smile on their faces for a minimal amount of time, then when the cams went off they were most likely like "oh damn, finally, now lets go eat more and do nothing".
thanks man - i remember so many times trying to figure out why I couldn't craft a max item and then be like oooohhh yeah my ear-ring, or ohhhh the town buf... your right idk why there are so many steps involved its pretty random!! can you sell stuff you craft when you pick all 3 perks or does it bind on pickup?
