Andrei ...thankyou more than I can say. I have never heard Clementi's music sound so breathtakingly beautiful. You are an amazing pianist and I feel blessed to be able to listen to your playing, rewind and listen to you again and again. Many thanks and Best Wishes Always.
They look easy but they are not. I can play Rachmaninov moment # 4 in e minor fast enough but I can’t play Clementi sonatina op 36 # 2 G major allegretto properly.
What beautiful and artistic performances of these pieces and what an enormous public service to have provided a readily available resource for new students of the piano to be able to hear the rich possibilities of this delightful and innocent music. Perhaps suitable for and routinely assigned to new students but these compositions still require all the sensitivity, imagination and subtlety of sound, phrasing and articulation. As one of my first teachers told me, there are no "easy" pieces, even less complicated pieces like these demand a tremendous focus and discipline when we open our ears. Perfect stylistic renditions with sparkling passage-work where required as well as lyrical themes that speak and breathe with just the right inflections and nuance. Every student should be required to listen to your performances before beginning to hammer away at this music with dead ears. Muzio Clementi would give you a heartfelt thanks, I am sure, for reminding us of what his compositions can and, ideally, should sound like. Thank you. Opus 36, no. 6 is my personal favorite. Bravo young man!

I was searching for this video as it's my favorite version of Sonatina in C Op. 36 No. 1, mvt 1. I'm glad it popped up again. I'll try and save it somehow.
After watching through all the Sonatinas plays on RU-vid, I like your play the most! You play more grateful and vivid with soul than many piano maters!
This sonatina bring back happy memories.. (I quit piano..) Thanks for your playing☺️
Your music is so good that I can’t stop so I just listen to it for hours and hours until I’m bored. Thank you very much for such wonderful and sweet music! 🥰
You play this with more passion and grace then I've seen it played before, its the best version by far. Its how I imagine Muzio Clementi would have played it
I listened every RU-vid video of this piece, you are absolutely the best! Thank you so much for sharing this, you showed how extremely beautiful it can be.
Fantastic. I haven't heard or played through these in years. Had to dig up my Sonatina album for the piano and play through them. Very very good playing!
It's lovely to hear these pieces played like I always wanted to, but wasn't techniqued enough to. I've always thought these little guys are really scrumptious, but usually they get hacked through by beginners like me or murdered with virtuosity. I might complain a bit here and there over some fast tempi but the application of really good technique like you have really makes them shine wonderfully. Clementi is an undercelebrated composer (as his sonatas indicate as well). Thank you for this! :)
I really like this video. It helps me a lot when I practice those musics and even I study. Thank you for providing this such a nice video, contains great plays. I hope your channel will prosper:).
Also, I crashed and burned in a public recital on no. 3, mvmt 1 ... that was it for me and public performance for about a decade, and then only my own music. Always loved it though. Still do. Very nice to hear it without completely forgetting the piece in the runs toward the end :)
Fantastic performances. It takes a real master to make these "simple" pieces with such elegance and energy. You play with beautiful variety of touch and articulation. Which of these do Sonatinas do you like the most? I decided to learn No. 4 on my own. Any advice on how to play the G octave tremolos (?) in the first movement quickly without tension? The muscles on the bottom of my forearms get tired fairly quickly. The piece isn't that difficult for me, otherwise. I just haven't mastered that technique. I try to use forearm rotation but maybe I'm still using too much finger action?
