Let's not forget that Beethoven thought higher of Clementi than of Mozart. Some of Clementi's later piano sonatas are just incredible and underrated. Also his symphonies are very beautiful. His contemporaries had the greatest respect for him. His bad luck today is going back on Mozart's comments on him and the fact that his music is above all associated with first piano lessons. Alread the fact that Horowitz played a lot of his music shows that he was not just some pedantic piano lesson composer.

@@Michelle6998832 Dear Michelle, good afternoon/evening. I just meant that Clementi was not an exceptional musician; he, although he was able to create some charming melodies, the development and harmony are banal and therefore predictable. And the predictable is not original. In short: it is not an author that I would want to have the complete work, because he does not add to my sensitivity or knowledge. Greetings from Brazil.
