“I’m growing my bangs cause I don’t wanna see anything I’m bleaching my hair til it melts cause I don’t wanna be tainted” The fact that he is doing that scares me
Don't worry, Mafumafu have friends now to be comforted to, unlike before when he was lonely. Mafumafu can ask help and seek comfort from his friends like Soraru, Amatsuki, and many more trusted people.
this is still my favorite mafu song after two years, wow. i remember listening to this when it came out and legitimately getting chills down my spine from how emotional and powerful it was. shuuten was the one song i came to whenever i felt stressed or angry or when life wasn't going right. it's 2019 and i'm experiencing all the same feelings i felt back then. god mafu, you made such an amazing song...i'm just so glad you're still producing and singing. keep it up, you're doing so well. i'm proud of what you've done and although i really doubt you'll read this, i hope you're proud of yourself too
The blindfolded woman is death, and the train ride represents the negative emotions that lead him to "his last stop" terminus (jumping off a building) hence why his character keeps stepping up and off a ledge once he reaches the last stop. Though the first time he rides the train he realizes the "death god" who stomachs his fear of death is only fooling him, and the reality of death is a deep black. Finally, mafumafu takes the train one last time, overwhelmed with his emotions, and references a rough relationship (he was abandoned) and that's when mafumafu's character is beckoned by the woman to jump, that's why she is seen upside-down falling, before mafumafu is in the last sequence. Mafumafu is fooled by the woman, and regrets his decision to end his life. Which is why he is seen reaching out as he falls, perhaps lamenting that nobody had reached out to him before he lead himself to that ledge. ;"c
This song means the world to me. It's short and sweet, but so powerful. There's so much emotion behind Mafu's voice. The instruments, the piano, the panning in the guitars, the memorising high notes, all of it is absolutely wonderful. This song also showcases his vocal range beautifully. The were several lyrics in here that I relate to as well, my favorite one being, "What's the magic bullet, lethargy or PTSD?" I don't know what Mafumafu has been through in the past, but it is obvious what the song is about. I just hope that his mind is in a better place now.
