Thanks for taking the request, John. Rock isn't huge in Korea like it is in Japan. They're working hard to get their music out there. They are more hard rock than heavy metal though. "Blaze" is their debut single. Or if you want to see them perform live, try their live performance of them covering Maneskin's "Zitti E. Buoni". They do have their "pop" offering, presumably to build more of a following in Korea. One on their latest releases, "Nazababara" might be too "bubble gum" for your taste. It almost gave me diabetes when I heard it. But they do have a marketable look and sound and I hope they achieve that brass ring (maybe afford a better engineer?).
RQ is a pretty cool Korean rock band. Its pretty awesome to see some rock music coming out of Korea. I really like their song "Goodnight". "Holler" is pretty cool too. They just announced their first US tour in May!

Don't know why they built you up at first thinking the music was just gonna take off but instead it just dropped and took away your momentum. They have Talent and Potential. I'd have to get a new mixer/engineer I think. I've watched the Guitarist (red hair) Play through some SRV. Talent is there just need to capitalize on it. IMHO. Hope all is good. 🤘✌
Just to let you know, "Azalea" is actually a cover that they did. Not an original song. The original was done by a Korean Rock singer named Maya back 20 years ago. You also got another request for them here in the comment section for "Good Night" which is also a cover that Rolling Quartz did. The original "Good Night" was done by an Kpop girl group called Dreamcatcher whose sound is a Kpop/Rock fusion. I recommend reacting to the original Dreamcatcher version of "Good Night" before Rolling Quartz's cover just to compare. There also tends to be another one that people like to recommend from them called "Sing Your Heart Out" which again, is also a cover. The original is by a Korean Punk Band called Crying Nut. If you want to check out Rolling Quartz's original songs then they are "Delight", "Blaze" and "Holler".
I did one Dreamcatcher reaction and it was god awful horrible. I will not revisit that group. As such, I will not ever watch anything from them again. Their "fans'" reaction to my reaction video were awful to the point that I got tired of sifting through the garbage and turned the comments off. I won't touch them again for any reason.

About Dreamcatcher: They are meant to be a Kpop girl group that does the majority of their songs as Kpop/Rock fusions. Their earlier Korean songs have a genuine Kpop/Rock fusion sound. But Rock has never really been mainstream in South Korea so starting in 2020, they modified their sound to be more EDM/Synth based that imitates a Rock vibe o be more appealing to most South Koreans. A lot of Dreamcatcher fans don't know much about Rock so they recommend songs that they like especially from 2020 onward to Hard Rock and Metal fans like you as if a song like "BEcause" is your cup of tea. I could've told whoever recommended that you react to "BEcause" that it was not a good idea. Dreamcatcher's "Good Night" is from before they changed their Korean sound in 2020. It's a genuine Kpop/Rock fusion. I'd bet that you would find their original version of "Good Night" at the very least to be tolerable and much closer to your tastes than "BEcause". Also, if you plan on reacting to Rolling Quartz's cover of "Good Night" it would at least be interesting from a comparison standpoint to see the original Dreamcatcher version then what Rolling Quartz's did with it. Rolling Quartz's music video of "Good Night" is also a big homage to Dreamcatcher as it's filled with visual references from Dreamcatcher's music videos. Of course that might not matter much to you but it's something to keep in mind since Rolling Quartz's cover version and music video are both basically their homage to Dreamcatcher.
@@NomadFlow That sums it up pretty good. The comparison between the the original version and what RQ did is indeed interesting (but there is a "but" in the middle section below). For the Rolling Quartz version of the "Good Night" MV I highly recommend to read what's in the comment (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6ZMwFjO2yvY.html) because it explains why Rolling Quartz was actually allowed to have this special cover song on their own album. This is something that normally doesn't happen. Beside the staff connections the members also know each other and there is at least the rumor that Handong (DC) had drum lessons by Yeongeun (RQ). All things considered for this straight "Metal" channel Dreamcatcher is still not a match and I'll explain it in this section: Dreamcatcher is good at mixing stuff and I love them for that unique sound (special thanks to Ollounder and LEEZ) but I think even the earlier darker songs are not for this channel because there is still "no metal" in it. The only thing that might come close are the Japanese releases but... (a) there are not many songs (b) they also have the tendency of sounding like an anime soundtrack (and one is actually just that) - I have my doubt that this is welcome here (c) there is no band playing the instrument...there are "only" 7 (good to very good) singers For what's it worth...a lot of Dreamcatcher fans are actually also fans of Rolling Quartz (this includes me as well) and I really would like to see them perform together. I was surprised that Alexa was able get this flying with "Xtra (Exclusive Rock Version)" and we haven't seen it with DC yet. As for Rolling Quartz and the important question about the hair color...😉 ...this hasn't really changed within the last ~2 years I know them (Arem red/black, Iree red, Hyunjung blue, Yeongeun purple and Jayoung blonde but lately more back to black with only a hint of blonde). The most important question wasn't event asked: How the hell can Hyunjung play the instrument with her long hair without getting stuck? 😂 The Rolling Quartz Måneskin Cover of "Zitti E Buoni" is great..they don't have that many songs of their own yet so there are several cover songs and for some it's not that obivious (like "Azalea" because the original is quite old).

This is a common mistake that too many people make. What you are listening to in the opening and endings of animes are simply popular musical artists in Japan. That's popular contemporary music in Japan. It's not "anime music". The problem is that people who say this don't have much exposure to Japanese music outside of anime so they attach the common sound patterns they hear in the openings and endings of anime with "anime" rather than the popular contemporary Japanese music of the time that anime came out. After 2020, their Korean releases switched to EDM/Synth so that's a different story. Their Japanese songs still have actual instruments being played. As far as a backing band, on their online concert during I believe the COVID lockdowns, they had a backing band with them. However, their label is still smaller so to be flying out and entire band along with the 7 members of Dreamcatcher would be expensive. I'm sure they would love to have a backing band with them on concerts but that would just mean more money for more people.
I like rolling courts. They're actually at a festival in Washington DC for Korean performers. I like to see you react to their song holler when you have a chance. And another Korean band I like is Dih and their song not enough. But rolling quarts has a lot of good songs and covers
