The best romanticist of our time, K.will and WheeSung! They have gathered together to help out a rookie girl group MAMAMOO with a romantic music 'Peppermint Chocolate'.
'Peppermint Chocolate' is a retro-funky style song with funky rhythm mixed with retro sounds. The heart fluttering moments from the beginning of love are expressed through sophisticated lyrics, such as 'Peppermint chocolate. Minty sweetness. Just like two of us' by Kim Eana. The funky and unique melody goes well with the lyrics, making the song more stylish and chic.
N and Hong Bin from VIXX, the most popular idol group in Korea right now, make an appearance in the music video, spicing up the atmosphere of the song by disco dancing.

This is because the majority of the rap is rapped by Hwasa (the one who lip synchs is most of the time not the one who actually sings it in the mv for some reason) - also a part of what wheein lip synchs was actually sang by Hwasa :)

What is this...? I came back here to listen to some good old MAMAMOO pre-debut glory and I see people saying MAMAMOO copied GG's Mr.Mr.? i like how mamamoo is experimenting with new sounds and we always get to see a ‚new side‘ of them but retro mamamoo was just really something else and it suit them so well. i really miss it so much. especially because there are barely any girl groups with a retro concept these days. i guess having a retro concept was more popular in the older kpop days and girl crush concepts are doing better nowadays. it‘s kinda sad but i‘m happy if the members are happy with their music.

Definitely. I miss those songs like Ahh Oop, Don't be happy, You're the best, Piano Man and Mr Ambiguous. I wish they would make some new music like those masterpieces again. It is not that I don't like their recent music, I like it, but Mamamoo's old music is what distinguished them from any other k-pop, plus it showcased their mature vocal.

Couple of years ago when i heard that pre debiut song , i realise that Mamamoo is different girlsband, so i decide to support them. I was active in community from begining trying to promote them to all kpop stans. I felt that MMO deserved reconigtion. And here we are, time passed and they are successful now. I never met them face to face but I feel so proud of them :)

in serious thought, MAMAMOO deserves more likes and views.. they really have the awesome quality in vocals.. I've only known them this year,even they were out since 2014.. it's not too late to be their fans right? hahahah I never get involved in girls kpop band before, not even once.. but MAMAMOO really differences from the other girls kpop band.. they are unique with their own style and vocal.. Mamamoo are not as popular as BTS internationally or even in Korea so obviously they will not get the same amount of likes and views. Mamamoo youtube channel = 6.5 million subscribers. BTS youtube channel = 64 million subscribers. why? cause BTS made live shows in the West and gained Western audience. Mamamoo don't make live shows in the West so their West audience is small. BTS were selling 5,000-6,000 copies in their albums. now they sell 2+ millions due to international fanbase. it's really a shame that Mamamoo didn't take the opportunity after BTS paved the way to Kpop in the West. Blackpink took the opportunity and made live shows in the West so now they have a massive international fanbase and get billions of views

That was like the same thing that happened with me. I'd heard of them, but didn't take them seriously because of the name; I thought, "What da heck is a 'Mamamoo'? I remember when I first watched this and saw MoonByul on the screen "rapping" when the girls part came on and I was so impressed how high pitched her voice was for a rapper. Then came the initial shock when they debuted and her voice was SO much lower. But damn is it still good.

I am a diehard STARLIGHT but I did not know VIXX got to do this. I never knew about this. I become a Moomoo because of their own talent not because my bias is here. So when I heard about this, I was so glad. VIXX my ultimate boy bias group and Mamamoo my ultimate girl bias group. I hope they'd do a collab someday. :D

I'm watching this in late 2019 after Mamamoo's new album release hip and Mamamoo has grown so much since this and it's all organic growth I can't believe they went from only 100 album sales in the first week at debut to 70,5k album's in the first week. Mamamoo has really come from nothing to being so successful I'm a proud moomoo.

이걸 곰플레이에 떠있길래 우연히 처음봤다가 그대로 빠져서 얘낸 누구야 하고 검색했더니 신인이라 나오는게 없어서 지금 이렇게 잘하는데 신인이라고?하고 놀랬었는데 그때 마침 애매모호 무대를 한다길래 잘 안보던 음악방송틀고 얘낸 진짜 잘될거야 했던게 엊그제 같다. 벌써 이만큼 시간이 흐르고 이만큼 빠져버렸네
