MV Sunnanvik - a Great Lakes Cement Carrier 4K 

The MV Sunnanvik is a dedicated cement carrier built in 1978. She has spent most of her working life in Europe, but came to the Great Lakes in recent years as part of the Eureka Shipping Venture involving CSL and SMT.
At about 8,600 tons deadweight and 124m / 507', she is not the largest of her type, but her mechanical / pneumatic cargo handling systems enable a discharge rate of about 1,000 tons / hour.
She is the first commercial vessel to use sail-assistance after fitting two Econowind Ventofoil systems in 2023. More information about this adaptation can be found here. econowind.nl/w...
