A collaborative tutorial that is intended to be an updated and abridged version of the Dhalsim DVD tutorial from 2005: • Dhalsim DVD Tutorial C... . BGM: ATLS PLAZA N.D. (Taiji): The Mustard Seed. Special thanks to Murakumo and ZRC270.
I've been waiting for this for years. I always felt like he was limited in my hands just by my overall performance as a player, rather than lacking any specific tools. That given, I think he demands a lot more than other god tiers to make him work as well. =P
@@smack2o I've seen a bit of their stuff and it's excellent! I wouldn't say I've been sleeping on them as much as they're outside of the frame I was referencing, which was prior to their time because I haven't actively played or followed the game for over 15 years. I just haven't really seen anything about the competitive scene new since at least 2010, nor been playing since 2007 (that was the last time I lived in the US near any sort of scene--the game never really lived in Korea or Japan aside from maybe just around release), so my frame of reference is back prior to that time, playing in Seattle against people like JMar, Ro, Kuan, Rat, Scott, Cody, and all the others from back in the 2002-2007 era. I think Dhalsim's potential even back then could have gone a lot further in the hands of another, better player than me... ... we have also collectively found some new stuff since the original DVD though, too, of course. The biggest original barrier to the potential of a high tier Dhalsim was simply the knowledge barrier. The next barrier was execution. =) I'm happy to see some people using him and using him effectively, because it was just basically a non-thing back in the day. Thus, I am hyped for any BeatsOfD or Madroo stuff I ever stumble across! =)
If you could redo your Magneto tutorial this way that'd be so sick. Basics of fighting top tiers and top assists, paired with clean post hit, is an amazing way to help someone start off with the game.
