Still the only Baseball game I manually played all 162 and the playoffs. I used to play 2-3 games a night.

I "cheated", I always stacked the team and simmed until the end of the season and then played each playoff game, I usually won every game in the playoffs

So much nostalgia and memories of staying up till like 3-4 in the morning on those summer nights after watching the Braves play and watching either Baseball Tonight or SportsCenter. Such a wonderful childhood and teen years. MVP Baseball is still the greatest baseball video game ever made.

This is the actual best baseball game I don't know why 2005 gets all the attention. MVP 2005 is a step down they took all of the run production out of it

I dont get why the Braves were ranked 19th (101-61) and Giants ranked 23rd (100-61) when many teams that finished with a worse record were ranked higher

19:40 is an absolute perfect example of the "lefty glitch" that ruined this game. It was almost impossible to hit home runs with left-handed batters because their hits would cause topspin on the ball resulting in short fly balls! This ball should have been gone!

Idk .. tigers stadium is pretty huge .. and if they did fix it they over did it .. I pick the Yankees and posada/matsui always hit home runs

there was a baseball game where there was a game mode that was like real life scenarios e.g., hit a home run on a 3-2 count in the end of the 9th inning, or steal a home run. I've been looking for that game for years, but I just don't know the name of it :(

If I’m not mistaken, there was a brief backstory narrated by Thom Brennemann. Also the opening credits featured a monologue by Derek Jeter.

If you're wondering why you see similarities, it's because this game was "MBL: The Show" in the making. THX & EA parted ways & went to work with San Diego Studios 2 years later to start the "MLB: The Show" series. The rest is history.

It’s not just you. There was a glitch in the game where lefty hitters always put topspin on the ball, which resulted in them hitting fewer home runs than righty hitters.
