My two cents, for what it's worth. I have both. They are not comparable discs. The Glitch will handle a ton more torque than the Beetle. But in all fairness to the Beetle, I don't think it was designed to do what you tried to make it do. It's a catch disc that can also do some creative upshot work. For me, that slot is just outside of my putting range where I need something to give the basket a run but stay close. I suppose this would be "short upshots". The Beetle does this in spades. I can't get the Glitch to match the Beetle. It's almost as if the Beetle is even slower than the Glitch? It will float in and land flat with very little torque. Longer upshots with more torque? Now the Glitch is shining. So straight! Both are baggable, but for different shots.
Yeah I agree with what you said about the Beetle not being meant for how we tested it, and I’m glad you’ve found a good use for it. I felt bad how much we poo pooed on it. I think we couldn’t get past the hand feel and that soured our experience. I did just start to get in a rhythm with it toward the end, and actually had a decent toss in a fast vs slow video we did. Sadly I don’t think Tony (the long haired fellow) will be coming around on it anytime soon tho haha
We’ve not thrown one at this time. I’m intrigued by the numbers and would definitely be interested in getting my hands on one. Especially if the rim is a little thicker. As much as we love the Glitch, the thin rim still feels foreign when pulling it out during regular rounds
