I am British. If I emerged from a bunker, and saw the Palace of Westminster, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, 10 Downing Street, and the Royal Albert Hall all in flames, the city gone to hell around me, bombs from both RAF and Russian jets falling around me, warships heading up the Thames, and, worst of all, the London Transport Museum at Covent Garden destroyed, I think I'd just die. Right there. On the spot.
Fun fact, a shockwave requires an atmosphere to happen, because it is the sound of the blast. Shockwave wouldn't happen in a vacuum and can't happen in space.
Personally for me "All Gilled up" was just revolutionary for its time and is probably my fav, but i can easily see why this would be somomes favorite as well
@@GlobalOutcastthe feelings were mixed. Wtf happened. Are the russians that good? Holy fuck is this Washington? This Washington. Fuck fuck fuck! Kill them bastards!!! E.M.P!!!!
The missile was detonated above to create shockwave and turn off any vehicles below it's radius. On Their Own Accord, Second Sun, and Whiskey Hotel, will be my top 3 favorite COD-MW2 campaigns. It is close to realism and the chaotic scenario of modern day invasion.
I've got a blank check. And we're gonna use every cent of it killing Makarov. Despite what the world might say, we are not savages - we don't kill civilians, we use precision. There's an evil man hiding in these shadows and we're gonna bring him into the light. Once his face is revealed, we will write history, gentlemen. These are the last safe havens on earth left fot Makarov and his men. Sounds like we gotta be in two places at once. Impossible? Not for the One-Four-One. Fifty-fifty chance on takin' out Makarov, eh? Captain Price, request permission to take the safehouse with Roach. Granted. Soap and I will advance to the boneyard in Afghanistan. Very well. We will cut off all avenues of escape. This ends now. Strange... I could've sworn we ended this war yesterday...
@@kevinkaslana9060 Ghost! Come in, this is Price! We're under attack by Shepherd's men at the boneyard! Soap, hold the left flank! Do not trust Shepherd! I say again, do not trust Shepherd! Soap, get down!
"enemies by the World War 2 memorial" "Hold that trigger until they don't get up" "Evacuation order April, Evacuation order April, everyone get the hell outta there"
1:41 is so devastating. What a great moment for the music to be played at the exact moment you see the Capitol Building and the Washington Monument destroyed. Excellent visual storytelling.
besides halo, this was probably the first real shooter i played. my dad bought it for me on release, an afghan vet. man when i played this game the emotion and intensity at the time really hit the feels, especially this mission. 1:25 hits hard
On your feet, we're oscar mike. Roger. Two-One Actual out. Listen up! This evac site is gettin' hit hard and we need to buy 'em some time. Hooah? *HOOAH!* (That insane cinematic run through the trench out into the chaos as the music flares) All callsigns, the LZ is under heavy fire. Uncover enemy positions and engage potential targets. They got eyes on us! Snipers, RPG teams and heavy arms fire! Top floor 12 o'clock due west of our position! MOVE YOUR MEN UP! GO! HOOAH!
@@PvzfanPlushforce Hans Zimmer handled the main theme while also producing the soundtrack Lorne balfe handled the entire score. He even has the music on his website credit it for him and on top of that when you go to HZ.com it even credits Lorne for most of the tracks except where the main theme is used
If it wasn't for Captain Price launching that EMP oh god I can only imagine what would have happened to Sgt foley, cpl Dunn and private Ramirez and Washington D.C
I'm fairly confident it was a nuke, only it detonated on the surface of the atmosphere, which I'm not sure scientifically would stop radiation from plaguing the land below but the EMP obviously was still effective.
@@TheArsenalgunner28 it was detonated off the coast where the blast wouldn't affect land, but the emp would l, price probably set the middle be weak enough so the fallout wouldn't affect land
Modern Warfare 2 is a big part of my History, playing since I was 6 years old. Listening to these songs always makes me want to finish the game over and over again. My favorite maps: Takedown, At Their Own Accord, Evasion, Hidden, Suspension...
1:32 can't be the only one who got chills seeing the Washington Monument and the White House be in flames. And the fact that it's happening in real life is the cherry on top
the idea of my home countries capitol building under siege, on fire almost makes me tear up. And the somber music sends chills down my spine, good thing nothing like this will ever happen irl, at least with the current6 Russian military...
3:50 I loved how you're advancing through the buildings, you come across a Russian squad doing the same as you, just carefully advancing looking for the enemy, and you win the day. Fuck yeah. Rangers lead the way. (I'm not even American. We have a 'Ranger' Regiment now, I guess that's progress)
