Here is my beginner's guide to Survival Mode in Modern Warfare 3. In this video I cover the basic features, mechanics, and strategies that will help players who want to become more familiar with the game mode. I plan on making a part 2 to this video that will explain the more advanced strategies.

Despite being the 3rd best selling cod game Mw3 is still criminally underrated and one of the least talked about whenever there's a conversation about cod its always modern warfare 2 (2009), Bo2, or Mw (2007)

Keep in mind, sub machine guns like the MP7 or the PP90M1 are insanely good at killing juggernauts. It’s hard to believe but you’d be surprised how busted the SMGS are against juggernauts (even the armored ones).

While that may be true, in survival mode the SMGs are given such a low ammo count compared to the LMGs that they soon become suboptimal in higher waves

I personally use one flash. Then one mag dump with the striker shotgun. Thank me later.

That’s a nice tactic. Can be difficult when you have multiple juggs and other enemies chasing you. And the striker reload is verrry long. But that strategy sounds fun nonetheless!

@@JayLovesPI you're right. I used the reload perk and normally have to switch it up to my run game in my higher levels. Everything changes if I'm in co-op. That extra hand really helps. Guaranteed double digit levels.

I'm getting mw3 again just for survival. Not to mention that a lot cod multiplayers are hacked on pc, I still love zombies and miss survival. I might even get extinction again one day lol. Great video btw, there's not many vids on this topic

Thanks! Survival is very underrated in my opinion. Never played much of extinction mode or zombies. MW3 is lucky to be relatively hacker-free on PC. If only Activision would do something about the cheating; shows how much they care about preserving their games

@@JayLovesPI I agree, survival is second best to zombies imo! Chaos mode is something I'm anticipating too, maybe it's worthy of its own video haha. Ohh really, is it hacker-free like cod4 and waw? I guess their "modded" not "hacked. But I'm pretty sure mw2 and bo3 are hacked so I assumed mw3 was as well. I hate how Activision preserves their old games, they should take notes and look at older Halo and Battlefield games

Great video. I love survival and even I learned something new. The need to refill ammo mid round can be eliminated though if you do the multi-gun glitch

With the Modern Warfare games, they all had weaknesses in multi-player modes. Modern Warfare had three grenades with each respawn. MW2 had One Man Army, (had people on my own team call me out for cheating, because they didn't use this to it's fullest). MW3 had the stealth bomber killstreak in the support class, never played much multi-player after that. But Survival mode saved this game for me. I still play this mode, never cared for the Zombie thing. Killed choppers with everything including C4 and Claymores but never knew you could stick an Airstrike to them, Thanks!

I will admit the fact you could earn lethal streaks running support was dumb. That and the assassin perk working while camping were two of the main issues multiplayer suffered from. Also, glad I could teach you something new about survival!

For me M60E4 is the worst MG36 the best. For secondary weapon lmg i would pick depending what i want. L86 LSW advantages: fast rate of fire,the fastest reload animation,decent damage,bad recoil PKP Pecheneg: moderate rate of fire, slow reload animation,great damage,good recoil. These 2 guns you can choose depending on your preference. MK46 is not good as it drains your ammo a lot, has slow reload annimation and damage scales depending on distance like in case of M60E4.

If you want to know the main reason, it’s because I’m finishing up university studies. And I want the video to be epic and be a true love letter to MW3 survival players. I don’t want to feel like I half-assed the video. I apologize for the delay, but I will eventually work on and publish the advanced guide. :)

It’s my favorite cod, too! To me it’s also the best cod. This game is very much alive - you can still find multiplayer and survival lobbies today. This game will never truly die
