Nightstars are lovely mechs with lots of tonnage for weapons. With the change to the width of the arms some months back, they also play better with less convergence issues.
While the -10P is famous for the RACstar and Farmstar builds, this build (introduced by wh4tever it takes) is also very devastating albeit at a shorter range.

This is honestly my favourite mech variant, so thanks so much for featuring it. I've been running a similar build to this for years. It used to be 4LL + 1 ERML, but the addition of Binaries have opened up more options for this chassis. I usually drop more armour on the arms and legs and try and use an LFE but the XL is starting to make more sense now that I look at it; the weakness of this mech is still its geometry, and you're neutered if you lose your right torso anyway. The version of this featured build that I run is to lose an ERML and switch to a 285 LFE.

Glad you like this variant. It's pretty good and many run it as ranged. Nowadays I prefer XL to LFE on most chassis. On a chassis like this, if I lose a torso (if LFE), I'm barely alive anyway. I'd rather just be much more effective before I die than be way less effective the whole match. Granted this takes some risk/skill in positioning and defensive play. - BrioS

This build is pretty powerful with he pinpoint Gauss and shorter duration laser vomit. 81 damage at 414m and below with those. Problem is the low speed and XL results in team just letting you down pretty often 😓 - BrioS

I run this with 1 PPC and 4 ER-Meds I can't wait to see how this build runs with SB-Gauss 💜💜💜

It's actually not too bad tbh. Farmstar is nice for large farm but this has very nice pinpoint with the 81 alpha from the Gauss and low duration lasers. Just slow, XL and lower optimal range... - BrioS
