With the Scattershot finally available for MC (but without Battlepass...), I thought it would be good to revisit my favourite build on it : the MRM60 XL Brawler, which is one of my favourite mechs!
With a simple one button weapon grouping and high-mounted (all on right side) MRMs, this is a good mech to teach poptarting, corner-peeking and defensive gameplay due to the need to twist and use jump jets to spread incoming fire.
Some people complain that the mech has been nerfed to hell post-launch but it takes a while to balance a mech to suit the current battlefield environment to make it fun, effective and yet not overpowered.

Aww... Sorry man. Too bad I didn't select that vid (it I had it saved). Had a few good matches with this mech on mining collective because that map suits this build. - BrioS

@@ClanBRxV it's ok haha. I didn't do particularly well if I rmb correctly. Might be in a sneaky sneak video getting my ass backstabbed by the man himself so there's that I suppose

Good positioning. It is still quite hot. Though still well executed.

Yeah, it runs pretty hot with that sizable cooldown quirk. Pumps out lots of damage in a short time but to maximise the damage effectively, gotta get in close. Really fun mech! - BrioS

Scattershot is an excellent mech for newer players to practice/learn poptarting as it is pretty forgiving. Very good buy for MC anytime it's on sale (pretty good even when not).

It actually is! Now that it's available for MC, I would wholeheartedly recommend this build. Considering that +30% combined with the damage output, it grinds chills really well. Most importantly to me, like you said, it's good for training certain skillsets. - BrioS

I was tempted to pick it up in the last Event.... but since SB Gauss the Gray Death feels quite viable and fun to play 😅

Well, Scattershot is really fun but fulfils a different role than the GD. At least one does not have to pay cash for the Scattershot no more. - BrioS

I wonder if the T-bolts spread since they currently go to CT in the game. Does the missile mechanic cancel out the negative spread buff?

Tbolts do spread and any missile spread quirk would affect it; negatively in this case. TBolts getting a tweak soon so have to see how that goes but TBolts definitely not ideal on this mech... - BrioS
