Dyno Comparison Between MWR and Carbon Smith Dimpled Velocity Stacks On A 2017 Suzuki GSXR 1000 Contact Chris @ CHP For Your Tuning Needs 386-530-1783 Race Family @5Friends1Family
At minute 3:56 you show a baseline run (labeled run 22) with MWR stacks, showing Max Power = 202.85 hp... you pull out the MWR stacks and install the dimpled Carbon Smith stacks, and then at minute10:33 you show your first and last run with the Carbon Smith Dimpled stacks (run 23 = 198.38 hp, and run 46 with 189.01 hp). You conclude that Carbon Smith was 2-4hp higher across the curve on 12:12, however, your dyno charts show that MWR made 4.47hp more peak power than Carbon Smith. I believe you misinterpreted your tuner's comments when comparing the first and last Carbon Smith runs, as he never overlayed MWR and Carbon Smith.
@Red_GSXR, great video. I just added some velocity stacks but I'm not at the horse power you're at. Are you running MR12? On your bike do you have more than a full exhaust, flashed ECU, Sprint filter and the velocity stacks? BTW I have a 2017 Gixxer 1K. Almost same setup as yours I think.
Thanks! That’s pretty much it other than block off plates and yes I’m running Mr12. Which tire are you using? There’s a lot of factors involved, rolling resistance, weather, they Dyno, etc
I just laid down 190.5hp and 86tq with No stacks on 93 Pump. Arrow Titanium header, custom muffler, sprint P08 filter and Moore Mafia email Flash tune.
@Red. Great video. I was just contemplating which to go with. My velocity stacks run good but I modified them myself so I'm wondering if either of those 2 will give me more than what I have. I know Moore Mafia prefers the Carbon Smiths. i also heard stellar things about MWR. I wasn't sure whether I need to go with the dimples or not. Nice they are $280 as opposed to $434. However looks like you tested the dimpled velocity stacks. Speed costs!
Thanks! Surely costs to play 😂. It doesn’t seem that either option is bad really, they all gain over the stock stacks. I know of setups with both the dimpled and non dimpled that are performing well. The carbon smith sets are currently on sale. Every little bit helps, and the dimples should move more air
Moore Mafia doesn't prefer carbon smith because of performance. He prefers them because he gets a piece of what he convinces people to buy. Stacks work from a specific result. So do some research.
Man I’m ready to see that race go down. The ZX10 is honestly the faster bike and Rickey has the experience for sure. Give Chris Hall a call or hit him up on Facebook about the CBR, he had some suggestions that’ll helpful to get the most out of it
I subscribed to yours so you gotta subscribed mine lol plus im on an 18 R model that i do track days on but im just getting started with vids and plan on gettin those stacks as well with the flash and quick shifter fix from mr mooremafia
Quick question man love what you’ve done to the bike!!!! But I was wondering about that wrap on the air box. Have you noticed any gains on it? On dyno or highway pulls. Thinking of doing this but will it even do any difference on my bike.
@@jacksonstorm4619 the way Suzuki set up the ecu on the new GSXRs I don’t think that’ll ever happen 😒🤦🏾♂️. I just ended up buying a bazzaz and a map switch
@@RedGSXR hi bro nice setup u have is it possibale to know what gear ratio u on for sprocket I'm still om oem 45 rear 17 front 525 and I'm thinking to go with 16 front 41 rear 520 could that help control the bike for decent torque and high end speed??
