Mods/accessories for the future
Replace gear knob because previous owner scratched this one with illuminated one (but it's complicated to find dimmed illumination - behind radio).

8Jx18" rims plus fatter tyres - maybe 235/35R18.
I would like a modest boot spoiler but there are really not many available that I like. It must be painted the same colour as the car.
Detailing
Full wash, also wheel arches, suspension components
Protect paintwork with Soft99 FussoCoat Light paint sealant/protectant (hydrophobic).
Full interior vacuum,
Full interior detail - Remove ingrained dust (dash, vents most plastic trim) with cockpit cleaner and stubby brush, remove dust from instrument cluster, ingrained dirt from controls, leather steering wheel, door panels
Carpet clean with foam/vacuum
Leather clean with SwissVax leather cleaning kit
SwissVax professional wash and Lotos hydrophobic soft top protection
Windscreen treated with RainX
Moderate engine bay detailing with general purpose cleaner & brush, microfiber towels, treated rubber & plastic parts with protectant/black enhancer.

New battery in late May 2018.
OUTSTANDING
Annual service due in June 2018. Should be done by a Mazda MX-5 specialist garage. They can fit the illuminated gearknob at the same time.
