I've got this kit on my NC, noticed the filter can get noticably wet if driving in the rain, which since it's my daily driver too is bound to happen. Have you notice anything similar ?
@@Project380 Nope still using the stock item, I’ve since realised it’s not leading to any water ingress even if it’s soaked so I’m not hugely fussed. Doesn’t seem to effect the lb/s either
Hi It looks like the stock intake to the air box is more or less in the same place as the new one. So effectively, all you are doing is moving the filter from mid flow to the start of the air flow. How or why does this make a difference. I believe K & N filters provide better air flow than stock. Does the foam filter provide even better flow?
Wow very good job and nice editing video. I plan do the same thing on my NCFL. And what if it will rain? Dont be afraid that air filter soak water? Thank you and have a nice day. Grettings from Czech Republic. :-)
thats because the dave fab website is down at the moment. try this one instead www.mx5parts.co.uk/skuzzle-motorsport-torqintake-induction-mk3-35?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwgdayBhBQEiwAXhMxtjrgbQkGJyFUbM0gsd3bv1opCAPbiMUVvk-g-zgwUxwNLfvg1tl_ixoCzdEQAvD_BwE
Of course if you wish you can make it out of pvc pipe. But this kit is a specific length to make the best gains. Plus the part that holds the MAF sensor is gonna be tricky to make
Yep, or take the under tray off, neither is a fun job, and there's little evidence these thing do anything for an NC, which already has A dedicated cold air feed. All this does is move the filter component to a place where it will get wetter, dirtier and is harder to replace. I wouldn't bother.
